Manche reisen von einem Ort zum nächsten, wohingegen andere Hausierer oder gar Betrüger auf der Flucht sind, und andere wiederum sind auf der Wanderschaft, weil sie keinen Ort ihr zuhause nennen können. Auf alle Fälle sind nur wenige Wege wirklich verlassen und jeder, der einen Weg beschreitet, sollte sich bewusst sein, dass dieser die Möglichkeit für alle Arten von Abenteuern bereithält.

Gefallen Fahrendes Volk kann einen Gegenstand oder eine Person in ihren Wagen oder als Teil ihrer Truppe in eine bewachte Stadt oder ein bewachtes Lager hinein- oder hinausschmuggeln.


Ein Angehöriger des fahrenden Volkes gehört einer Gruppe Wandersleute an, die auf den Nebenstraßen und Alleen des besiedelten Landes verkehren, wobei ihnen oft Gerüchte über Diebstähle oder Entführungen folgen. Sie bessern Töpfe aus, schleifen Messer und geben exotische Vorführungen, welche den Zorn der gesetzteren Leute erwecken.


Angehörige des fahrenden Volkes sind oft exzellente Unterhaltungskünstler, egal ob Musikanten, Tänzer oder Schauspieler, sie können aber auch als exotische Beutelschneider und Scharlatane eingesetzt werden.


Angehörige des fahrenden Volkes reisen oft zu viert (HG 6) oder gar im Dutzend oder mehr (HG 9+). Ein einzelner Angehöriger des fahrenden Volkes könnte einen Vagabunden[link47] (HG 4) oder einen Heckenmagier[link48] (HG 5) begleiten, während fünf oder sechs mit einem Wahrsager[link49] (HG 8) oder einem Wegelagerer[link50] (HG 9) zusammenarbeiten könnten.

Gefallen Ein Vagabund kann eine zuverlässige Wegbeschreibung zu jeder Ortschaft, jedem markanten Punkt und jeder Sehenswürdigkeit in einem Radius von 80 Kilometern geben (Fertigkeitswürfe[link66] auf Überlebenskunst[link62] um zu vermeiden, dass die SC sich verlaufen, erhalten einen Bonus von +5), sowie allgemeine Informationen über mögliche Gefahren liefern, die auf dem Weg lauern könnten (geländebedingte Gefahren oder feindlich gesonnene Kreaturen).


Vagabunden sind Herumtreiber, die auf den Straßen wandern, ab und an auch Arbeit annehmen, aber selten zwei Tage am Stück am selben Ort verbleiben. Sie haben einige Fertigkeiten, um in den Ansiedlungen die eine oder andere Aushilfstätigkeit zu verrichten, sind meist aber auch nicht kampfunerfahren, da keine Straße wirklich sicher ist.


Vagabunden können als Jäger, Waldläufer und Hirten benutzt werden, die am Rand der Gesellschaft leben. Ein Vagabund kann ein reisender Hausierer oder Händler sein oder für eine städtische Miliz als Späher arbeiten.


Vagabunden sind gute niedrigstufige Bogenschützen, was noch verbessert werden kann, indem man das Talent Wachsamkeit[link57] durch Fernschuss[link67], Präzisionsschuss[link68] oder Waffenfokus[link69] (Langbogen[link54]) ersetzt. Alternativ kann man die Fernkampftalente auch durch Mächtiger Angriff[link70] und Abhärtung[link71] ersetzen, um einen besseren Nahkämpfer zu erschaffen.


Vagabunden sind meist Einzelgänger, könnten sich aber mit einem Trosswächter[link72], einer Wache[link73], einem Geschichtenerzähler[link74] oder zwei Bauern[link75] zusammentun (HG 3). Zwei Vagabunden könnten mit vier Angehörigen des Fahrenden Volkes[link76] reisen (HG 7) oder auch als kleine Gruppe zu viert in Begleitung eines einzelnen Angehörigen des Fahrenden Volkes[link76], eines Pilgers[link77] oder eines Fallenstellers[link78] (HG 6).

Gefallen Ein Pilger versorgt die Verletzungen verwundeter SC mit seiner Heilkunde-Fertigkeit oder er kann - falls die Not sehr groß ist oder die SC ein Spende für die Kirche des Pilgers tätigen, die wenigstens dem halben Wert des Trankes entsprechen muss - ihm seinen Heiltrank einflößen.


Pilger sind religiöse Bettler, welche auf den langen Straßen zwischen Schreinen, Tempeln und anderen heiligen Orten ihres Glaubens reisen. Sie sind gewöhnliche Menschen mit wenig Kenntnissen in Theologie, aber mit dem Bedürfnis, ihren Glauben auf ihren Reisen zu verbreiten, indem sie denen helfen, denen sie begegnen, und versuchen, die Leiden einer traurigen und einsamen Welt zu lindern.


Pilger können in Ortschaft en, die zu klein für einen Tempel oder einen richtigen Kleriker sind, als Laienpriester, Heiler oder Weise Frauen wirken. Man kann sie auch auf einem Schlachtfeld antreffen, wenn sie dazu gezwungen wurden, das Fehlen göttlicher Heilkundiger auszugleichen.


Wenn man eine der Stufen als Bürgerlicher[link51] durch eine Stufe [/Grundregelwerk/NSC-Klassen/Adept Adept]] ersetzt, erhält man einen Heiler mit begrenztem Zugriff auf Heilmagie. Trefferwürfel, Trefferpunkte, Grundangriffsbonus und Fertigkeiten verändern sich nicht, nur der Rettungswurf[link95] Willen steigt auf +6.


Ein Pilger reist oft alleine, zwei oder drei könnten ein Hospiz betreiben (HG 5 oder 6), sie können auch in einer Vierergruppe reisen und werden dabei oft von vier Trosswächtern[link72] oder acht Novizen[link96] begleitet (HG 8). Einem einzelnen Pilger kann eine Wache[link73], ein Trosswächter[link72] oder ein Paar Novizen[link96] dienen (HG 4). Ebenso kann ein Pilger einem Schamanen[link97] dienen (HG 6), während ein böser Pilger mit einem Folterknecht[link98] arbeiten und die Gefangenen am Leben halten könnte (HG 6).
