BESONDERE FÄHIGKEITEN


Adamantwaffen (AF[link17]) Zähne und Klauen eines Mechanischen Drachen bestehen aus Adamant[link18] und besitzen die Eigenschaften von Waffen, die aus diesem Material hergestellt werden.

Effizientes Aufziehen (AF[link17]) Ein Mechanischer Drache wird für lange und gefährliche Einsätze gebaut. Wenn er aufgezogen wurde, funktioniert er für 3 Tage pro TW.

Selbstzerstörung (AF[link17]) Wenn ein Mechanischer Drache auf 10% seiner Trefferpunkte (meistens 17 TP) oder weniger reduziert wird, er aber immer noch mehr als 0 TP besitzt, kann er eine Reaktion auslösen, welche seinen Leib in seinem nächsten Zug in einer feurigen Explosion[link19] vergehen lässt. Diese verursacht in einem Radius von 6 m Feuerschaden in Höhe von 10W6 Punkten (REF, SG 22, halbiert). Der SG des Rettungswurfes basiert auf Charisma[link20].

Ein Mechanischer Goliath mag über mehr rohe Kraft verfügen, da Mechanische Drachen aber Flugfähigkeit und ein machtvolle Odemwaffen ins Feld führen, sind letztere die vielseitigeren und eleganteren Tötungsmaschinen. Diese komplexen, aufziehbaren Uhrwerkmechanismen sind für lange Flüge und Missionen ausgelegt und daher energieeffizienter als andere derartige Mechanismen. Dies liegt auch daran, dass sie einen Teil der Energie wiederverwerten, welche ihre kunstvollen Flügel und ihre komplexen Odemwaffenmaschinen generieren. Ein Mechanischer Drache gehört zu den kompliziertesten Mechanismen und erfordert höchste Handwerkskunst; seine vielen beweglichen Teile bestehen teils aus Adamant[link18] oder werden durch Adamantgerüste gestärkt und Adamantpanzerungen geschützt. Dies macht diese Tötungsmaschinen zu einer genialen Mischung aus Kunstfertigkeit und unnachgiebigen Schrecken.
Das Grundgerüst und die inneren Mechanismen eines Mechanischen Drachen sind stark anpassungsfähig, so dass es viele Varianten dieses Mechanismus gibt. Ein Mechanischer Drache misst in der Regel von der Schnauze bis zur Schwanzspitze 6 m und wiegt fast 75 Tonnen.

Varianten von mechanische Drachen

Im Folgenden werden einige Varianten dieses Mechanismus aufgeführt. Manche Mechanische Drachen verfügen sogar über mehr als eine Variation der Bauweise.

Brennender Teerodem (HG +1): Anstelle von Feuer atmen manche Mechanische Drachen einen 9 m-Kegel brennenden Teers aus. Kreaturen im Wirkungsgebiet erleiden 14W6 Punkte Feuerschaden und werden in einer dichten Schicht brennenden Teers verstrickt[link21]. Ein Ref lexwurf gegen SG 22 halbiert den Schaden und hebt die Verstrickung auf. Kreaturen sind 5 Runden lang verstrickt[link21] und während der Teer brennt erleiden sie während ihres Zuges 3W6 Punkte Feuerschaden pro Runde. Eine Kreatur kann sich aus dem Teer befreien, wenn sie eine Volle Aktion aufwendet und einen Ref lexwurf gegen SG 22 besteht. Dies beendet die Verstrickung und verhindert weiteren Feuerschaden.

Infiltrator (HG +1): Diese Mechanischen Drachen sind behänder und unauffälliger als andere. Sie können sich zu Schlangengestalten umkonfigurieren und sich zusammenziehen, wodurch sie die Fähigkeit Verdichten erlangen. Ferner sind ihre Einzelteile mit einem schwarzen, dämpfenden Harz überzogen, das ihnen einen Volksbonus von +8 auf Fertigkeitswürfe[link22] für Heimlichkeit[link23] verleiht (der typische Infiltrator besitzt Heimlichkeit[link23] +0). Schlussendlich sind sie auch noch magisch aufgeladen und können sich als Standard-Aktion maximal drei Mal Tag unsichtbar[link24] machen (wie Mächtige Unsichtbarkeit[link25], ZS 15). Diese Unsichtbarkeitist[link25] eine übernatürliche Fähigkeit[link26].

Mithral (HG +0): Diese Variante verliert Adamantwaf[link18]fen und SR, gewinnt aber dank ihrer magisch aufgeladenen Mithraltei[link27]le bessere Flugeigenschaften. Die Bewegungsraten an Land und Schwimmen[link13] steigen auf 21 m, die Bewegungsrate Fliegen steigt bei guter Manövrierfähigkeit auf 60m. Zudem kann der Mechanische Drache ein Mal am Tag als Schnelle Aktion für 1W4 Runden die Vorteile des Zaubers Hast erlangen.

Rostodem (HG +0): Die Variante besitzt keinen Feuerodem, sondern atmet einen feinen Nebel[link28] einer alchemistischen Lösung aus, welche freiliegende Metalle zum Rosten bringt. Dieser sogenannte Rostodem ist eine 18 m-Linie. Betroffene Kreaturen können Reflexwürfe[link29] gegen SG 22 für Gegenstände ablegen, die sie in Händen tragen oder am Leib bei sich führen, allerdings ist für jeden Gegenstand ein eigener Wurf fällig. Jeder Mechanische Drache dieser Variante führt genug von der alchemistischen Lösung mit sich, um seinen Rostodem drei Mal einsetzen zu können, ehe ein manuelles Nachfüllen erforderlich wird, das 10 Minuten dauert. Diese Mechanischen Drachen bestehen aus Eisenholz[link30], Adamant[link18] und anderen widerstandsfähigen Materialien, die gegen jede Art von Rost immun sind.

Säureodem (HG +0): Diese Art Mechanischer Drache verfügt über eine eingebaute Fontäne, mit der sie ätzende Flüssigkeit verschießen kann. Dies ersetzt den Feuerodem mit einer 18 m-Linie Säure. Getroffene Kreaturen erleiden 10W8 Punkte Säureschaden (REF, SG 22 halbiert).

Schlafgasodem (HG +0): Die Odemwaffe dieser Variante wird durch einen Tank mit Schlafgas ersetzt. Das Gas wird in einem 9 m-Kegel ausgeatmet; betroffene Kreaturen müssen einen Willenswurf[link29] gegen SG 22 bestehen, um nicht für 1W6+10 Runden einzuschlafen. Mechanische Drachen mit dieser Odemwaffe gehören oftmals zudem der Variante Infiltrator und/oder Mithral[link27] an. Sie sind ideal für Missionen geeignet, welche Heimlichkeit[link23] und Präzision statt roher Gewalt erfordern.

Zerstörer (HG +0): Diese Mechanischen Drachen[link31] werden als äußerst mobile und machtvolle Belagerungswaffen[link32] genutzt. Ein Zerstörer besitzt keine Odemwaffe, kann sich aber als Volle Aktion, während er Kontakt mit festem Boden hat, in eine Schwere BombardeABR II umkonfigurieren, welche sich selbst lädt (dies erfordert dennoch fünf Volle Runden). Ebenso kann der Mechanische Drache sich selbst ausrichten und zielen. Ein Zerstörer führt genug Munition für 10 Schuss mit sich.


Konstruktion

Der Mechanische Drache ist ein Meisterstück der mechanischen Handwerkskunst und außergewöhnlich schwer zu bauen. Der Erschaffer muss mit bearbeiteten Teilen im Wert von 25.000 GM beginnen.
