Antlitz enthüllen (ÜF[link74]) Als Schnelle Aktion kann Hastur einer angrenzenden Gestalt enthüllen, was sich wirklich unter seiner Robe verbirgt. Der Kreatur muss ein Willenswurf[link75] gegen SG 40 gelingen, um nicht für 1W4 Runden Gelähmt[link76] zu sein und während dieser Zeit zum Ende ihres jeweiligen Zuges jeweils 1W4 Punkte Weisheitsentzug zu erleiden. Sie kann sich hinterher nicht mehr an das Erblickte erinnern, da die Erinnerung einfach zu grauenvoll ist. Dies ist ein geistesbeeinflussender Furchteffekt. Der SG des Rettungswurfes basiert auf Charisma[link77].

Gelbe Träume (ÜF[link74]) Wenn Hastur seine zauberähnliche Fähigkeit[link78] Albtraum[link79] bei einer Kreatur einsetzt, die das Gelbe Zeichen gesehen hat, erleidet diese Kreatur entsetzliche gelbgefärbte Träume, welche von Dekadenz, Scham und chaotischem Zerfall handeln. Dem Ziel muss zudem ein Willenswurf[link75] gegen SG 40 gelingen, um nicht nach einem Gelben Zeichen zu suchen und dafür all seine Mittel und Handlungen einzusetzen. Ein davon besessenes Ziel erleidet einen Malus von -4 auf Willenswürfe[link75], Rettungswürfe[link75] gegen Symbolzauber, Konzentrationswürfe[link80] und weisheitbasierende Fertigkeitswürfe[link81]. Diese Besessenheit endet, sobald das Opfer das Gelbe Zeichen erblickt. Dies ist ein geistesbeeinflussender Flucheffekt. Der SG des Rettungswurfes basiert auf Charisma[link77].

Gelbes Zeichen (ÜF[link74]) Hastur kann ein Mal am Tag als Freie Aktion eine beliebige feste Oberfläche berühren und auf sie das Gelbe Zeichen malen. Dieses Zeichen besteht für ein Jahr, ist aber nur während bestimmter Nächte aktiv, in denen das Licht[link82] von Hasturs ferner Welt als Stern am Nachthimmel zu erkennen ist. Jede Kreatur, welche auf ein aktives Gelbes Zeichen blickt, muss einen Willenswurf[link75] gegen SG 40 bestehen, um nicht unter Hasturs Herrschaft zu fallen (wie Monster beherrschen[link83]). Unabhängig vom Ausgang des Rettungswurfes ist die Kreatur dann für 24 Stunden gegen das Zeichen immun. Sollte die Kreatur unter diesem Beherrschungseffekt stehen und dabei Charismaentzug plus Charismaschaden[link6] in Höhe ihres Charismawertes erleiden, stirbt sie augenblicklich und ermöglicht Hastur, sich über der Leiche körperlich zu manifestieren, als hätte jemand seine Robe angelegt (siehe unter Untersterblichkeit). Ein Gelbes Zeichen kann mittels Austilgen[link84], Böses bannen[link85] oder Chaotisches bannen[link86] entfernt werden, sofern dabei ein Wurf auf die Zauberstufe[link87] gegen SG 35 gelingt. Magische Auftrennung[link88] entfernt ein Gelbes Zeichen automatisch. Dies ist ein geistesbeeinflussender Effekt. Der SG des Rettungswurfes basiert auf Charisma[link77].

Lumpenpeitsche (AF[link89]) Hastur greift mit langen Stoffstreifen seiner zerfetzten gelben Robe an. Diese Streifen haben eine Reichweite von 12 m und sind primäre natürliche Hiebangriffe. Von ihnen verursachter Blutungsschaden[link90] ist mit sich selbst kumulativ bis zu einem Maximum von 10W6 Blutungsschaden[link90]. Wahnsinnige Ziele sind hinsichtlich Angriffe mit diesen Waffen stets auf dem falschen Fuß angetroffen.

Unaussprechliche Ausstrahlung (ÜF[link74]) Misslingt einer Kreatur ein Willenswurf[link75] gegen SG 40 gegen Hasturs Unaussprechliche Ausstrahlung[link91], erleidet sie eine zufällig ausgewählte Geisteskrankheit. Sollte sie bereits wahnsinnig sein, ist sie für die Aufenthaltsdauer im Wirkungsgebiet verwirrt[link92]. Der SG des Rettungswurfes basiert auf Charisma[link77].

Unsterblichkeit (AF[link89]) Sollte Hastur getötet[link93] werden, fällt seine Robe zu Boden, als würde der Leib, der sie bisher gehalten hat, nicht mehr existieren. Die Robe bleibt unbelebt auf dem Boden liegen, allerdings muss jeder Kreatur, welche sie berührt, ein Willenswurf[link75] gegen SG 40 gelingen, um dem plötzlichen Drang zu widerstehen, sie anzulegen. Das Anlegen ist eine Volle Aktion, welche Gelegenheitsangriffe[link94] provoziert. Sobald die Kreatur Hasturs Robe angelegt hat, verstirbt sie und ihr Körper wird zerstört. An ihrer Stelle kehrt Hastur wie nach Wahre Auferstehung[link95] zurück. Sollte niemand die Robe binnen 24 Stunden anlegen, verschwindet sie und hinterlässt nur einen schwachen gelben Fleck. In diesem Fall kann Hastur erst wieder einen Körper manifestieren, wenn die richtigen Umstände eintreten oder ein ahnungsloser Kultanhänger oder Narr ihn erneut herbeiruft. Der SG des Rettungswurfes basiert auf Charisma[link77].

Wunsch (ZF[link78]) Hastur kann Wunsch[link96] zwar beliebig oft als zauberähnliche Fähigkeit[link78] nutzen, aber nur um die Wünsche anderer Kreaturen zu erfüllen. Er kann jeder Kreatur nur jeweils einen Wunsch erfüllen. Die Resultate dieser Wünsche fördern aber unvermeidbar stets seine Ziele.

Hastur ist der rätselhafteste der Großen Alten. Er könnte in Wahrheit sogar ein Äußerer Gott sein. Seine körperliche Manifestation ist als der König in Gelb – eine grob menschenförmige Gestalt in einem gelben Überwurf – bekannt und wird von den meisten mit Hastur gleichgesetzt. Viele Gelehrte denken aber, dass der König in Gelb nur ein Avatar ist, den der wahre Hastur nutzt, um sich unter den Bewohnern der Materiellen Ebene zu bewegen. Es heißt, er selbst lebe auf einer fernen Welt namens Carcosa am Ufer des gewaltigen Sees Hali und dass seine Macht auf einem anderen Planeten am stärksten sei, wenn das bösartige Licht von Carcosas Sonne am dortigen Nachthimmel zu erkennen ist

Hasturs Kult

Hasturs Kult besteht hauptsächlich aus dekadenten Adeligen[link97], Theaterstückeschreibern und Aristokraten, welche das Leben langweilt und die nach zunehmend abartigeren, bizarren und selbstzerstörerischen Methoden suchen, im Leben Befriedigung zu finden. Seine Tempel sind opulent und gewaltig: Opernhäuser, Herrenhäuser und ähnliche Bauten enthalten verborgene Kammern für Unterhaltungen, die man besser geheim hält. Seine Kultanhänger rekrutieren nur zu gerne Unschuldige, indem sie diese dem Gelben Zeichen aussetzen, auf dass ihre Leiber und Geister als Tore dienen, durch welche der König in Gelb die Welt beschreiten kann.
Hasturs Kult wird mit Dekadenz, Unordnung und Nihilismus assoziiert. Sein Symbol ist das Gelbe Zeichen. Die schwächsten Varianten dieser Symbole sind nichtmagische und leicht ungenaue Wiedergaben des Siegels. Die mächtigeren Kulte verfügen aber über Mittel und Wege, vollfunktionsfähige Gelbe Zeichen anzufertigen. Einem von einem Kult angefertigten Gelben Zeichen kann man mit einem Willenswurf[link75] gegen SG 23 widerstehen, als wäre es ein Zauber des 9. Grades. Hasturs Kleriker haben Zugang zu den Domänen des Bösen, des Chaos, der Leere und der Runen, sowie den Unterdomänen des Dunklen Firmaments, der Schutzzeichen, der Sprachen und der Sterne. Hasturs bevorzugte Waffe ist das Rapier[link98].
