Die Erschaffung eines Jiang-Schi
„Jiang-Schi” ist eine erworbene Schablone, welche jede lebende Kreatur (im Folgenden als die Basiskreatur bezeichnet) mit 5 oder mehr Trefferwürfeln erlangen kann. Die meisten Jiang-Schi waren einst Menschen[link1], allerdings kann jede Kreatur, welche bestimmten Begräbnisriten unterzogen wird, diese Schablone erhalten. Ein Jiang-Schi nutzt die Spielwerte und Fähigkeiten der Basiskreatur, sofern hier nichts anderes vermerkt wurde:


HG: Basiskreatur +2.

Gesinnung: Jede Böse.

Art: Die Kreatur nimmt die Kreaturenart[link2] Untoter[link3] (Verbessert) an. Berechne Klassen[link4]-TW, GAB oder Rettungswürfe[link5] nicht neu.

Sinne: Ein Jiang-Schi-Vampir erhält Dunkelsicht[link6] 18 m. Er erhält ferner die Fähigkeit, das Atmen lebender Kreaturen wahrzunehmen; er erlangt Blindsicht[link7] 18 m hinsichtlich atmender Kreaturen. Eine Kreatur kann die Luft anhalten[link8], um zu verhindern, von einem Jiang-Schi auf diese Weise bemerkt zu werden.

Rüstungsklasse: Natürliche Rüstung wird um +2 verbessert.

Trefferwürfel: Alle Volkstrefferwürfel werden zu W8. Klassen-Trefferwürfel sind hiervon nicht betroffen. Als Untote[link3] nutzen Jiang-Schi ihre CH-Modifikatoren[link9] anstelle der Konstitution[link10], um Bonustrefferpunkte zu bestimmen.

Verteidigungsfähigkeiten: Ein Jiang-Schi erhält Resistenz gegen Fokussieren +4, SR 10/Magie und Hiebschaden, sowie Resistenz Kälte 20 neben allen Verteidigungsfähigkeiten eines Untoten. Ein Jiang-Schi erlangt zudem Schnelle Heilung[link11] 5 und alle folgenden Verteidigungsfähigkeiten:

Gebetsrolle (ÜF[link12]): Die an der Stirn eines Jiang-Schi befestigte Schriftrolle[link13] verleiht ihm Immunität gegen alle Effekte, die mit Hilfe von zauberauslösenden oder -wirkenden magischen Gegenständen generiert werden (z.B. Schriftrollen[link13] und Zauberstäbe). Hinsichtlich solcher magischer Effekte wird der Jiang-Schi behandelt, als besäße er eine unüberwindliche Zauberresistenz[link14]. Die Gebetsrolle kann mit einem gelungenen Kampfmanöverwurf[link15] für Entreißen[link16] entfernt werden, dies beendet augenblicklich die Immunität des Jiang-Schi gegen diese Effekte. Sollte die Gebetsrolle zudem mit einer Standard-Aktion zerstört werden, verliert der Vampir seine Fähigkeit Schnelle Heilung. Ein Jiang-Schi kann eine Ersatzgebetsrolle anfertigen, indem er einen Streifen Pergament beschriftet, jedoch erfordert dies 10 Minuten ungestörter Arbeit.

Schwächen: Jiang-Schi schrecken vor Spiegeln und dem Klang von Handglöckchen zurück, die innerhalb von 3 m Entfernung genutzt werden. Auch gekochter Reis schreckt sie ab und ruft bei ihnen Scham hevor, da er sie an den Umstand erinnert, dass sie keine Nahrung mehr zu sich nehmen können. Diese Dinge schaden einem Jiang-Schi-Vampir nicht, halten ihn aber für einige Zeit auf Abstand. Er muss mindestens einen Abstand von 1,50 m zum Objekt seiner Abscheu halten und kann während dieser Runde keine Nahkampfangriffe gegen eine Kreatur ausführen oder eine solche Kreatur berühren, die eines dieser Objekte zur Schau stellt. Einen Jiang-Schi derart auf Abstand zu halten, erfordert eine Standard-Aktion. Nach einer Runde kann ein Jiang-Schi-Vampir versuchen, seine Abscheu zu überwinden, sofern ihm zu Beginn seines Zuges jede Runde ein Willenswurf[link5] gegen SG 20 gelingt.

Einen Jiang-Schi zerstören: Sollte ein Jiang-Schi auf 0 Trefferpunkte reduziert werden, zerfällt er zu Staub, wird aber nicht zerstört. Er bildet sich nach 1 Minute neu mit 1 TP am selben Platz oder auf dem nächsten freien Platz. Sollte der Staub in der Zwischenzeit verstreut oder mit Reis und Weihwasser[link17] (ein Fläschchen genügt) vermischt werden, zerstört dies den JiangSchi dauerhaft. Jiang-Schi-Vampire sind zudem empfindlich gegenüber Waffen, die aus Pfirsichbaumholz gefertigt wurden, da solche Waffen die Einheit aller Elemente und des Lebens für sie repräsentieren. Eine Waffe aus Pfirsichbaumholz umgeht automatisch die Schadensreduzierung[link18] eines Jiang-Schi; sollte er durch einen Treffer mit einer solchen Waffe auf 0 TP reduziert werden, zerstört ihn dies augenblicklich. Jiang-Schi meiden zwar das Tageslicht, werden von ihm aber nicht wie gewöhnliche Vampire zerstört und können sich tagsüber bewegen, ohne Schaden zu nehmen.

Bewegungsrate: Ein Jiang-Schi kann sich nur in kurzen, hopsenden Sprüngen fortbewegen. Diese Bewegung ist langsamer als jede andere gewöhnliche Bewegungsart, so dass die Grundbewegungsrate eines Jiang-Schi um 3 m reduziert wird (Minimum 3 m). Allerdings können Jiang-Schi die Auswirkungen von schwierigem Gelände ignorieren (hinsichtlich von Fortbewegung) und können nicht zu Fall gebracht werden. Andere Bewegungsraten wie Fliegen oder Schwimmen sind von dieser Reduzierung nicht betroffen.

Nahkampf: Ein Jiang-Schi erhält einen Biss- und 2 Klauenangriffe, sofern die Basiskreatur nicht über solche Angriffe verfügt. Der Schaden des Bissangriffes hängt von der Größe des Vampirs ab, während seine Klauenangriffe behandelt werden, als wäre er um zwei Größenkategorien größer. Ein mittelgroßer Jiang-Schi verursacht also mit seinem Biss 1W6 Schadenspunkte und mit einem Klauenangriff 1W8 Schadenspunkte. Seine Klauen sind aber dank seines besonderen Angriffs Brutale Klauen (s.u.) noch gefährlicher. Die natürlichen Waffen eines Jiang-Schi werden hinsichtlich von Schadensreduzierung[link18] als magisch behandelt.

Besondere Angriffe: Ein Jiang-Schi erhält mehrere Besondere Angriffe. Der SG von Rettungswürfen[link5] gegen diese Angriffe ist 10 + ½ TW + CH-Modifikator[link9] des Jiang-Schi (sofern nicht anders vermerkt).

Brutale Klauen (AF[link19]): Die Fingernägel eines Jiang-Schi sind grausam scharf und können beliebig ausgefahren und eingezogen werden. Sie lösen bereits bei einem Wurf von 19-20 eine Kritische-Treffer-Bedrohung aus und verleihen die Fähigkeit Ergreifen[link20]. Ein Jiang-Schi mit Stufen als Mönch[link21] erhält diesen verbesserten Bedrohungsbereich und die Fähigkeit Ergreifen auch für seine Waffenlosen Angriffe und kann seinen waffenlosen Mönchsschaden oder seinen Klauenschaden einsetzen, falls dieser höher ist, wenn er solche Angriffe ausführt.

Chi-Entzug (ÜF[link12]): Ein Jiang-Chi saugt kein Blut, sondern raubt das „Chi” – die Lebensenergie – seiner Opfer aus deren Atem. Wenn einem Jiang-Schi ein Kampfmanöverwurf[link15] für Ringkampf[link22] gelingt, kann er neben allen anderen Effekten eines erfolgreichen Wurfes, wie z.B. zusätzlichem Schaden, versuchen, den Atem seines Opfers zu trinken und ihm sein Chi zu entziehen. Das Opfer kann dem mittels eines Zähigkeitswurfes widerstehen, bei Misslingen erhält es 1 negative Stufe[link23] und ist für 1W4 Runden wankend[link24].

Attributswerte: ST +4, GE +6, IN +2, WE +4, CH +2. Als Untoter besitzt ein Jiang-Schi keinen Konstitutionswert[link25].

Talente: Jiang-Schi erhalten die Bonustalente Ausweichen[link26], Beweglichkeit[link27], Fertigkeitsfokus[link28] (Akrobatik[link29]), Tänzelnder Angriff[link30] und Wachsamkeit[link31].

Fertigkeiten: Jiang-Schi erhalten einen Volksbonus von +8 auf Fertigkeitswürfe[link32] für Akrobatik[link29], Heimlichkeit[link33] und Wahrnehmung[link34].
