Schattentänzer

Das zivilisierte Volk hat die Nacht schon immer gefürchtet und sich in seinen Häusern versteckt und mit dem Licht des Feuers geschützt, wenn die Schatten lang wurden. Und es hatte durchaus Recht damit, sich vor den Kreaturen in Acht zu nehmen, welche in der Dunkelheit umher streifen. Jedoch haben einige schon vor langer Zeit gelernt, dass der beste Weg, einen Feind zu besiegen, darin besteht, sich dessen Fähigkeiten zu eigen zu machen. Diese Leute waren die ersten Schattentänzer. Schattentänzer leben auf der Grenze zwischen Licht und Dunkelheit[link1]. Sie beherrschen die Schatten und nutzen sie, um Meister der Täuschung zu werden. Schattentänzer sind durch keine Moralvorstellungen und keinen überlieferten Kodex gebunden. Und so entschließen sich Abenteurer, welche den Wert der Dunkelheit[link1] erkannt haben, immer wieder dazu, diese Klasse[link2] zu nehmen. Zauberkundige etwa nutzen ihre neu gewonnen Fähigkeiten, um ihre Magie aus dem Verborgenen zu wirken und dann schnell zu verschwinden, während Klassen[link2], die sich dem Nahkampf verschrieben haben, ihre Gegner nun noch besser überraschen können. Manche nehmen den Namen des Schattentänzers sogar ganz wörtlich und werden zu unheimlichen und geheimnisvollen Schauspielern und Tänzern. Das ist jedoch selten und viele Schattentänzer neigen eher dazu, ihre Talente für Täuschung und Infiltration als Dieb zu nutzen.

Rolle: Schattentänzer ziehen aus den verschiedensten Gründen auf Abenteuer aus und viele Gruppen lernen den Wert dieser Gefährten schnell zu schätzen, können sie doch unglaublich gut schleichen und Gegner mit ihren blitzschnellen Angriffen überraschen, wenn diese es am Wenigsten erwarten. Aus diesem Grund werden Schattentänzer oft von Gruppen angeheuert, die gerade Späher oder Spione benötigen.

Gesinnung: Da Schattentänzer ein verwirrendes Doppelspiel treiben können, sind sie nur selten rechtschaffen, denn viele nutzen ihre Talente, um sich vor den Augen der Autoritäten zu verbergen. Doch auch wenn sie in der Dunkelheit[link1] einen natürlichen Verbündeten finden, sind Schattentänzer weder zwangsweise böse noch gut. Für sie ist die Dunkelheit[link1] einfach nur die Dunkelheit[link1]. Sie weisen ihr keine moralische Bedeutung zu, wie es die Unwissenden tun.

Trefferwürfel: W8.

Voraussetzungen

Um ein Schattentänzer zu werden, muss ein Charakter alle folgenden Voraussetzungen erfüllen.

Fertigkeiten: Heimlichkeit[link3] 5 Ränge, Auftreten (Tanzen)[link4] 2 Ränge.

Talente: Kampfreflexe[link5], Ausweichen[link6], Beweglichkeit[link7].

Klassenfertigkeiten

Die Klassenfertigkeiten des Schattentänzers und die jeweiligen Bezugsattribute sind: Akrobatik[link8] (GE[link9]), Bluffen[link10] (CH[link11]), Diplomatie[link12] (CH[link11]), Verkleiden[link13] (CH[link11]), Entfesselungskunst[link14] (GE[link9]), Wahrnehmung[link15] (WE[link16]), Auftreten[link4] (CH[link11]), Fingerfertigkeit[link17] (GE[link9]) und Heimlichkeit[link3] (GE[link9]).

Fertigkeitspunkte pro Stufe: 6 + IN-Modifikator[link18].

Klassenmerkmale

Alle folgenden Fähigkeiten sind Klassenmerkmale der Prestigeklasse[link19] des Schattentänzers.

Geübt im Umgang mit Waffen und Rüstungen: Schattentänzer sind im Umgang mit der Keule[link20], der Armbrust[link21] (Handarmbrust, leichte oder schwere Armbrust), dem Dolch[link22] (alle Arten), dem Wurfpfeil[link23], dem Streitkolben[link24], dem Morgenstern[link25], dem Kampfstab[link26], dem Rapier[link27], dem Totschläger[link28], dem Kurzbogen[link29] (normal und Kompositkurzbogen) und dem Kurzschwert[link30] geübt. Sie sind im Umgang mit leichten Rüstungen, nicht aber im Umgang mit Schilden geübt.

Meisterliches Verstecken (ÜF[link31]): Ein Schattentänzer kann seine Fertigkeit[link32] Heimlichkeit[link3] selbst dann einsetzen, wenn er beobachtet wird. Solange sich ein Bereich mit dämmrigen Licht[link33] innerhalb von 3 m von ihm befindet, kann er sich verstecken, ohne sich tatsächlich hinter etwas zu verbergen. Der Schattentänzer kann sich nicht in seinem eigenen Schatten verstecken.

Entrinnen (AF[link34]): Auf der 2. Stufe erhält ein Schattentänzer die Fähigkeit Entrinnen[link35]. Wenn ein Effekt auf den Charakter wirkt, bei dem er normalerweise einen Reflexwurf[link36] machen darf, um den Schaden zu halbieren, nimmt er bei einem erfolgreichen Rettungswurf[link36] gar keinen Schaden. Die Fähigkeit kann nur eingesetzt werden, wenn der Schattentänzer keine oder nur eine leichte Rüstung trägt.

Dunkelsicht (AF[link34]): Ab der 2. Stufe kann ein Schattentänzer im Dunkeln sehen, als stünde er permanent unter der Wirkung von Dunkelsicht[link37].

Reflexbewegung (AF[link34]): Ab der 2. Stufe behält ein Schattentänzer seinen Geschicklichkeitsbonus[link18] (falls vorhanden) auf seine RK[link38], auch wenn er überrascht oder von einem unsichtbaren[link39] Angreifer attackiert wird. Kann der Charakter sich nicht bewegen, verliert er aber immer noch seinen Geschicklichkeitsbonus[link18] auf die RK[link38].

Erhält der Charakter die Fähigkeit Reflexbewegung auch noch von einer anderen Klasse[link2], erhält er sofort die Fähigkeit Verbesserte Reflexbewegung (siehe unten).

Schurkentrick: Auf der 3. Stufe und alle drei weiteren Stufen erhält ein Schattentänzer eine besondere Fähigkeit, welche es ihm erlaubt, seine Feinde zu verwirren. Dies funktioniert wie das Klassenmerkmal Schurkentrick[link40]. Der Charakter darf sich jedoch nicht mehrmals denselben Schurkentrick[link40] aussuchen. Wenn ein Schattentänzer das Klassenmerkmal Verbesserte Tricks[link41] besitzt, kann er sich seine Tricks stattdessen auch aus der Liste für Verbesserte Tricks[link41] aussuchen.

Schattenillusion (ZF[link42]): Wenn ein Schattentänzer die 3. Stufe erreicht, kann er sichtbare Illusionen[link43] erzeugen. Die Fähigkeit funktioniert wie der Zauber Stilles Trugbild[link44]. Die Stufe des Schattentänzers ist die Zauberstufe[link45]. Pro zwei Stufen als Schattentänzer kann der Charakter die Fähigkeit einmal pro Tag einsetzen. Der SG für diese Fähigkeit basiert auf Charisma[link11].

Schatten herbeizaubern (ÜF[link31]): Ab der 3. Stufe kann der Schattentänzer untote Schatten herbeizaubern. Im Gegensatz zu einem normalen Schatten gleicht die Gesinnung[link46] des untoten Schattens[link47] der des Schattentänzers und der untote Schatten[link47] kann keine Abkömmlinge erschaffen. Der Schatten erhält einen Bonus von +4 auf Willenswürfe[link36], um den Schaden positiver fokussierter Energie halbieren zu können. Er kann nicht vertrieben oder befehligt werden. Der untote Schatten[link47] dient dem Charakter als Gefährte und kann sich mit ihm verständigen. Er hat so viele Trefferpunkte, wie es der Hälfte der gesamten Trefferpunkte des Schattentänzers entspricht. Außerdem verwendet er den Grund-Angriffsbonus des Schattentänzers und dessen Grundboni auf die Rettungswürfe[link36]. Ansonsten ist er identisch mit dem Schatten[link47] im Pathfinder Monsterhandbuch[link48].

Wird der Schattengefährte zerstört oder vom Schattentänzer entlassen, muss der Schattentänzer einen Zähigkeitswurf[link36] (SG 15) ablegen. Misslingt dieser Wurf, erhält der Schattentänzer eine permanente negative Stufe. Bei einem erfolgreichen Rettungswurf[link36] geschieht nichts. Ein zerstörter oder entlassener Schattengefährte kann 30 Tage lang nicht ersetzt werden.

Schattenruf (ZF[link42]): Ab der 4. Stufe kann ein Schattentänzer Kreaturen und Effekte aus den Schatten selbst erschaffen. Die Fähigkeit funktioniert wie der Zauber Schattenbeschwörung[link49]. Die Stufe des Schattentänzers entspricht in diesem Fall seiner Zauberstufe[link45]. Auf der 4. Stufe kann der Charakter die Fähigkeit einmal pro Tag anwenden. Ab der 4. Stufe kann er sie alle zwei weiteren Stufen einmal öfter am Tag anwenden (2/Tag auf der 6. Stufe, 3/Tag auf der 8. und 4/Tag auf der 10.). Der SG für die Fähigkeit basiert auf Charisma[link11]. Ab der 10. Stufe funktioniert die Fähigkeit wie der Zauber Mächtige Schattenbeschwörung[link49].

Schattenschritt (ÜF[link31]): Ab der 4. Stufe erlangt der Schattentänzer die Fähigkeit, zwischen den undefined hin- und her zu reisen, als würde er den Zauber Dimensionstür[link50] verwenden. Die magische Reise muss jedoch in einem Gebiet mit Schatten beginnen und enden. Pro Tag kann der Schattentänzer auf diese Weise insgesamt 12 m zurücklegen. Er kann beispielsweise 12 m auf einmal springen oder zweimal 6 m weit. Alle zwei Stufen nach der 4. verdoppelt sich die Distanz, die der Charakter reisen kann (also 24 m auf der 6. Stufe, 48 m auf der 8. und 96 m auf der 10.). Die Entfernung kann in so viele Reisen unterteilt werden, wie der Charakter wünscht, doch jeder Sprung, egal wie kurz, zählt als Entfernung von 3 m.

Ausweichrolle (AF[link34]): Ab der 5. Stufe kann der Schattentänzer einmal pro Tag versuchen, Schaden abzuwenden, wenn seine Trefferpunkte ansonsten durch den erlittenen Schaden (durch eine Waffe oder einen Hieb, nicht durch einen Zauber oder eine Besondere Fähigkeit) auf 0 oder weniger sinken würden. Dafür muss der Charakter einen Reflexwurf[link36] (SG = Menge des Schadens) ausführen. Gelingt dieser, wird der Schaden, den der Charakter erleidet, halbiert. Der Schattentänzer muss sich des Angriffs jedoch bewusst sein und in der Lage sein zu reagieren, um die Ausweichrolle zu machen.

Verbesserte Reflexbewegung (AF[link34]): Ab der 5. Stufe kann ein Schattentänzer nicht länger in die Zange genommen[link51] werden. Aus diesem Grund können Schurken[link52] den Charakter nicht länger in die Zange nehmen, um einen Hinterhältigen Angriff auszuführen. Die einzige Ausnahme hierzu bilden Schurken[link52], die mindestens vier Klassenstufen mehr haben als der Schattentänzer. Diese können ihn noch immer in die Zange nehmen[link51] und mit einem Hinterhältigen Angriff attackieren.

Erhält der Schattentänzer die Fähigkeit Reflexbewegung? (siehe oben) auch noch von einer anderen Klasse[link2], erhält er automatisch die Fähigkeit Verbesserte Reflexbewegung. Außerdem werden die Stufen der beiden Klassen[link2] addiert, um die Minimalstufe eines Schurken[link52] zu ermitteln, der den Schattentänzer in die Zange nehmen kann.

Entschlüpfender Geist (AF[link34]): Sollte der Schattentänzer von einer Verzauberung[link53] betroffen werden und sein Rettungswurf[link36] gelingt ihm nicht, darf er ab der 7. Stufe 1 Runde später einen weiteren Rettungswurf[link36] machen. Der Charakter erhält jedoch nur diese eine Chance auf einen neuen Rettungswurf[link36]. Schlägt dieser auch fehl, tritt der Effekt des Zaubers ganz normal in Kraft.

Schattenmacht (ZF[link42]): Ab der 8. Stufe kann ein Schattentänzer den Schatten selbst verwenden, um seinen Feinden zu schaden. Die Fähigkeit funktioniert wie der Zauber Schattenhervorrufung[link54]. Die Stufe des Schattentänzers ist seine Zauberstufe[link45]. Der Charakter kann die Fähigkeit auf der 8. Stufe einmal pro Tag anwenden. Der SG für die Fähigkeit basiert auf Charisma[link11]. Ab der 10. Stufe kann er sie zweimal pro Tag anwenden.

Verbessertes Entrinnen (AF[link34]): Der Schattentänzer erhält diese Fähigkeit auf der 10. Stufe. Sie funktioniert genauso wie Entrinnen (siehe oben). Gelingt dem Schattentänzer jedoch ein erfolgreicher Rettungswurf[link36] gegen einen Angriff, bei dem Reflexwürfe[link36] zugelassen sind, um den Schaden zu halbieren, erleidet er gar keinen Schaden. Schlägt der Reflexwurf[link36] fehl, erleidet der Schattentänzer dennoch nur den halben Schaden.

Schattenmeister (ÜF[link31]): Ab der 10. Stufe erhält ein Schattentänzer, wenn er sich in einer schattigen Umgebung aufhält, eine SR von 10/- und einen Glücksbonus von +2 auf alle Rettungswürfe[link36]. Wenn der Charakter einen kritischen Treffer gegen einen Gegner landet, der sich in einer schattigen Umgebung befindet, ist dieser Gegner 1W6 Runden lang erblindet[link55].
