Vertrauter

Ein Vertrauter ist ein Tier, welches von einem Magieanwender ausgewählt wurde, um ihm bei seinen Studien zu helfen. Er behält sein Aussehen, seine Trefferwürfel, seinen Grund-Angriffsbonus, die Grundboni auf Rettungswürfe[link1] und die Fertigkeiten[link2] und Talente des Tieres, das er einmal war. Aber der Vertraute wird für alle Effekte, die auf dem Kreaturentyp basieren, als magische Bestie behandelt. Nur ein normales, unverändertes Tier kann zu einem Vertrauten werden. Ein Tiergefährte[link3] kann nicht gleichzeitig ein Vertrauter sein.

Der Meister des Vertrauten erhält durch diesen besondere Fähigkeiten, die der folgenden Tabelle zu entnehmen sind.

Die Stufen verschiedener Klassen[link4], die einen Vertrauten erhalten, addieren sich, um die Fähigkeiten des Vertrauten zu bestimmen, die von der Stufe seines Meisters abhängen.

Sollte ein Vertrauter verloren gegangen oder gestorben sein, kann er eine Woche später durch ein besonderes Ritual ersetzt werden, welches 200 GM je Magierstufe kostet. Das Ritual braucht acht Stunden, bis es vollendet ist.

Eule[link9]Der Meister erhält in Dunkelheit[link10] oder bei dämmrigem Licht einen Bonus von +3 auf konkurrierende Würfe auf Wahrnehmung[link11], die auf Sicht basieren.
Falke[link12]Der Meister erhält bei Tageslicht einen Bonus von +3 auf Würfe auf Wahrnehmung[link11], die auf Sicht basieren.
Fledermaus[link13]Der Meister erhält Bonus von +3 auf Fliegen[link14].
Katze[link15]Der Meister erhält einen Bonus von +3 auf Heimlichkeit[link16].
Kröte[link17]Der Meister erhält +3 Trefferpunkte.
Rabe[link18]*Der Meister erhält einen Bonus von +3 auf Schätzen[link19].
Ratte[link20]Der Meister erhält einen Bonus von +2 auf Zähigkeitswürfe[link1].
Viper[link21]Der Meister erhält einen Bonus von +3 auf Bluffen[link22].
Wiesel[link23]Der Meister erhält einen Bonus von +2 auf Reflexwürfe[link1].
* Der Rabe spricht eine Sprache nach Wahl seines Meisters. Dies ist eine übernatürliche Fähigkeit[link24].

Die Werte des Vertrauten
Als Basis werden die Werte eines entsprechenden Tiers, wie es im Pathfinder Monsterhandbuch angegeben ist, mit folgenden Änderungen benutzt.

Trefferwürfel: Für Effekte, die von den Trefferwürfeln abhängen, gilt die Stufe des Meisters oder die Trefferwürfel des Tieres, was immer besser ist.

Trefferpunkte: Die Trefferpunkte entsprechen der Hälfte der Trefferpunkte des Meisters (abgerundet), unabhängig von den Trefferwürfeln des Tieres (temporäre Trefferpunkte nicht mit eingerechnet).

Angriffe: Es wird der Grund-Angriffsbonus des Meisters benutzt, wie er sich aus allen seinen Klassen[link4] berechnet. Der höhere Bonus von Stärke[link25] oder Geschicklichkeit[link26] wird hinzu addiert, um den Angriffbonus mit den natürlichen Waffen des Vertrauten zu ermitteln.

Der Schaden entspricht dem normalen Schaden des Tieres.

Rettungswürfe: Für jeden Rettungswurf[link1] wird entweder der Grundbonus des Vertrauten (REF +2, WIL +0, ZÄH +2) oder der des Magiers[link27] (wie er sich aus allen seinen Klassen[link4] zusammensetzt) genommen, was immer besser ist. Hierzu werden die jeweiligen Attributsmodifikatoren[link28] des Vertrauten addiert. Andere Boni, die der Meister auf seine Rettungswürfe[link1] haben kann, werden nicht auf seinen Vertrauten übertragen.

Fertigkeiten: Für jede Fertigkeit[link2], in denen entweder der Meister oder auch der Vertraute Ränge haben, wird der bessere Rang für den Vertrauten benutzt. Der Vertraute muss aber seinen eigenen Attributsbonus[link28] benutzen. Unabhängig von den endgültigen Fertigkeitsmodifikatoren eines Vertrauten gibt es einige Fertigkeiten[link2], die sich einem Vertrauten niemals erschließen werden. Vertraute haben Akrobatik[link6], Fliegen[link14], Heimlichkeit[link16], Klettern[link8], Schwimmen[link29] und Wahrnehmung[link11] als Klassenfertigkeiten.

Besondere Fähigkeiten des Vertrauten
Alle Vertraute haben besondere Fähigkeiten oder verleihen ihrem Meister welche, die von der kombinierten Stufe des Meisters aus allen Klassen[link4] abhängen, die Zugang zu Vertrauten geben, wie in der folgenden Tabelle angegeben. Alle Fähigkeiten sind kumulativ.

Natürliche Rüstung: Der hier angegebene Wert stellt die Verbesserung der natürlichen Rüstung des Vertrauten dar.

Wachsamkeit (AF[link31]): Solange sich der Vertraute innerhalb einer Armeslänge vom Meister entfernt befindet, erhält dieser das Talent[link32] Wachsamkeit[link33].

Verbessertes Entrinnen (AF[link31]): Wenn der Vertraute Ziel eines Angriffs ist, der einen Reflexwurf[link1] erlaubt, um den Schaden zu halbieren, nimmt er keinen Schaden bei einem gelungenen Rettungswurf[link1] und nur halben Schaden, wenn ihm der Rettungswurf[link1] misslingt.

Zauber teilen: Der Meister kann jeden Zauber mit dem Ziel (Du) anstelle auf sich selbst auch als Berührungszauber auf seinen Vertrauten wirken.

Empathische Verbindung (ÜF[link24]): Der Meister hat eine emphatische Verbindung zu seinem Vertrauten, mit einer Reichweite von 1,5 km. Der Meister kann nicht durch die Augen seines Vertrauten sehen, aber er kann empathisch mit seinem Vertrauten kommunizieren. Aufgrund der eingeschränkten Verbindung können nur generelle Gefühlsinhalte übermittelt werden. Als Ergebnis dieser Verbindung hat der Meister die gleiche Beziehung zu einem Gegenstand oder Ort wie sein Vertrauter. Hat der Vertraute einen Ort gesehen, wird der Meister so behandelt, als ob er diesen auch gesehen hätte.

Berührungszauber übermitteln (ÜF[link24]): Wenn der Meister mindestens die 3. Stufe erreicht hat, kann der Vertraute für ihn einen Berührungszauber übermitteln. Wenn der Meister und der Vertraute miteinander in Körperkontakt stehen, wenn der Zauber gewirkt wird, kann der Meister den Vertrauten als „Berührer“ bestimmen. Der Vertraute übermittelt den Zauber genau so, wie es sein Meister auch könnte. Wie üblich verfällt der Zauber, wenn der Meister einen weiteren Zauber wirkt, bevor der Berührungszauber übermittelt wurde.

Mit Meister sprechen (AF[link31]): Wenn der Meister die 5. Stufe erreicht hat, können er und sein Vertrauter verbal miteinander kommunizieren, als ob sie eine gemeinsame Sprache sprechen würden. Andere Wesen können diese Kommunikation nicht ohne magische Hilfe verstehen.

Mit Tieren seiner Art sprechen (AF[link31]): Wenn der Meister die 7. Stufe erreicht hat, kann sein Vertrauter mit Tieren kommunizieren, die annähernd von der gleichen Art sind wie er (einschließlich Schreckensvarianten) Fledermäuse mit Fledermäusen, Katzen mit Katzenartigen, Falken, Eulen und Raben mit Vögeln, Eidechsen und Schlangen mit Reptilien, Kröten mit Amphibien, Wiesel mit Tieren aus der Familie der Marder. Die Kommunikation ist durch die Intelligenz[link30] der beteiligten Tiere eingeschränkt.

Zauberresistenz (AF[link31]): Wenn der Meister die 11. Stufe erreicht hat, erhält der Vertraute eine Zauberresistenz[link34], die der Stufe seines Meisters +5 entspricht. Um den Vertrauten mit einem Zauber zu betreffen, muss der Zauberwirker einen Zauberstufenwurf ablegen (1W20 + seine Zauberstufe[link35]). Ist das Ergebnis größer oder gleich der Zauberresistenz[link34], gelingt der Zauber.

Vertrauten ausspähen (ZF[link36]): Wenn der Meister die 13. Stufe erreicht hat, kann er ein Mal am Tag den Zauber Ausspähung[link37] auf seinen Vertrauten wirken.
