Die Grundregeln des Kampfes

In diesem Abschnitt werden die Werte, die den Erfolg im Kampf bestimmen, zusammengefasst und es wird erläutert, wie sie eingesetzt werden.

Der Angriffswurf

Ein Angriffswurf repräsentiert den Versuch, einen Gegner zu treffen, sobald man in einer Runde an die Reihe kommt. Um einen Angriffswurf auszuführen, würfelst du 1W20 und addierst darauf deinen Angriffsbonus (sowie andere Modifikatoren, falls vorhanden). Erreicht oder übertrifft dein Ergebnis die Rüstungsklasse[link1] des Ziels, triffst du es und fügst ihm Schaden zu.

Automatische Treffer und Fehlschläge: Bei einem Angriffswurf wird eine natürliche 1 (der W20 zeigt eine 1) immer als Fehlschlag gewertet. Eine natürliche 20 (der W20 zeigt eine 20) ist immer ein Treffer. Außerdem stellt eine natürliche 20 auch eine Bedrohung dar, der ein möglicher kritischer Treffer folgen kann (siehe Aktionen im Kampf[link2]).


Angriffsbonus

Dein Angriffsbonus mit einer Nahkampfwaffe beträgt:


Grund-Angriffsbonus + Stärkemodifikator[link3] + Größenmodifikator

Mit einer Fernkampfwaffe beträgt dein Angriffsbonus:


Grund-Angriffsbonus + Geschicklichkeitsmodifikator[link3] + Größenmodifikator + Entfernungsmalus

Rüstungsklasse

Deine Rüstungsklasse (RK) zeigt an, wie schwer es für deine Gegner ist, dich mit einem soliden Schlag zu treffen und Schaden zu verursachen. Dieser Wert ist das Ergebnis des Angriffswurfes, das dein Gegner erreichen muss, um dich zu treffen.


Deine RK setzt sich wie folgt zusammen:


10 + Rüstungsbonus + Schildbonus + Geschicklichkeitsmodifikator[link3] + andere Modifikatoren

Beachte, dass die Rüstung die Höhe deines Geschicklichkeitsbonus[link3] einschränken kann. Wenn du Rüstung trägst, darfst du unter Umständen nicht deinen gesamten Geschicklichkeitsbonus[link3] auf die RK anrechnen (Siehe Tabelle: Rüstungen und Schilde[link4]).


Manchmal darfst du deinen Geschicklichkeitsbonus[link3] nicht mit in die RK einrechnen (sofern du einen hast), z.B. wenn du nicht auf einen Schlag reagieren kannst. Besitzt du keinen Bonus, ändert sich deine RK nicht.

Andere Modifikatoren: Viele andere Faktoren können deine RK ebenfalls modifizieren.

Verbesserungsboni: Verbesserungseffekte verbessern den Rüstungsbonus deiner Rüstung.

Ablenkungsboni: Magische Ablenkungseffekte wehren Angriffe ab und verbessern so deine RK.

Natürliche Rüstung: Wenn dein Volk eine dickes Fell, Schuppen oder eine dicke Haut hat, erhältst du dadurch einen Bonus auf deine RK.

Ausweichboni: Ausweichboni repräsentieren deine Fähigkeit, aktiv Schlägen auszuweichen. In jeder Situation, in der du deinen Geschicklichkeitsbonus[link3] nicht anwenden darfst, verlierst du auch etwaige Ausweichboni (das Tragen von Rüstungen, schränkt diese Boni jedoch nicht ein, wie es beim Geschicklichkeitsbonus[link3] der Fall ist). Anders als die meisten anderen Boni dürfen Ausweichboni addiert werden.

Größenmodifikator: Du erhältst je nach deiner Größe einen Bonus oder Malus auf deine RK. Siehe dazu auch Tabelle: Größenmodifikatoren.

Berührungsangriffe: Manche Angriffe ignorieren Rüstungen, Schilde und natürliche Rüstung eingeschlossen. Der Angreifer muss seinen Feind lediglich berühren, damit ein solcher Angriff seine volle Wirkung entfaltet. Zu diesem Zweck macht der Angreifer einen Berührungsangriff (Nahkampf oder auf Entfernung). Bist du das Ziel eines solchen Angriffs, enthält deine RK weder den Rüstungsbonus, den Schildbonus noch den Bonus für natürliche Rüstung. Alle anderen Modifikatoren wie dein Größenmodifikator, dein Geschicklichkeitsmodifikator[link3] und (falls vorhanden) dein Ablenkungsbonus werden mit eingerechnet. Manche Kreaturen besitzen die Fähigkeit, körperlose Berührungsangriffe auszuführen. Diese Angriffe dringen durch feste Objekte wie Rüstungsteile oder Schilde. Körperlose Berührungsangriffe funktionieren ähnlich wie normale Berührungsangriffe, ignorieren aber zusätzlich etwaige durch Deckung[link5] gewährte Boni. Rüstungsboni, die durch Krafteffekte wie Magierrüstung[link6] und Rüstungsarmschienen[link7] gewährt werden, gelten gegen körperlose Berührungsangriffe weiterhin.


Schaden

Wenn du einen erfolgreichen Angriff ausführst, verursachst du Schaden. Die Art der von dir verwendeten Waffe entscheidet darüber, wieviel Schaden du verursachst.


Schaden reduziert die aktuellen Trefferpunkte des Ziels.

Minimaler Schaden: Wenn Mali den Schaden eines Treffers auf weniger als 1 verringern würden, verursacht der Treffer dennoch 1 Punkt nichttödlichen Schaden[link8].

Stärkebonus: Bei einem Treffer mit einer Nahkampf- oder Wurfwaffe (dazu zählen auch Schleudern) addierst du deinen Stärkemodifikator[link3] auf den Schaden. Ein Stärkemalus wird auf alle Schadenswürfe mit einem Bogen angerechnet, wenn es sich nicht um einen Kompositbogen handelt. Stärkeboni werden in diesem Fall nicht angerechnet.

Zweithandwaffe: Auf Schaden mit der Zweithandwaffe addierst du nur die Hälfte des Stärkebonus[link3]. Wenn du einen Stärkemalus besitzt, wird dieser komplett mit eingerechnet.

Eine Waffe zweihändig führen: Wenn du mit einer von dir zweihändig geführten Waffe Schaden verursachst, addierst du das Anderthalbfache deines Stärkebonus[link3] auf den ausgewürfelten Schaden (Stärkemali werden auf diese Weise nicht vervielfacht). Diesen Bonus erhältst du nicht, wenn du eine leichte Waffe zweihändig führst.

Schaden multiplizieren: Manchmal wird der Schaden mit einem bestimmten Faktor multipliziert, beispielsweise wenn du einen kritischen Treffer landest. Würfle in diesem Fall den Schaden (inkl. aller Modifikatoren) mehrfach aus und addiere die Ergebnisse.

Anmerkung: Vervielfacht man den Schaden mehr als ein Mal, wird jeder Multiplikator auf den ursprünglichen, unmodifizierten Schaden angewandt. Wenn du also dazu aufgefordert wirst, den Schaden zweimal zu verdoppeln, ist das Ergebnis der dreifache Normalschaden.

Ausnahme: Zusätzlicher Schaden in Form von weiteren Würfeln (z.B. hinterhältiger Angriff ), der über den normalen Schaden einer Waffe hinausgeht, wird niemals vervielfacht.

Attributsschaden: Bestimmte Kreaturen und magische Effekte können temporären oder permanenten Attributsschaden[link9] (also eine Verringerung eines Attributwertes) verursachen.


Trefferpunkte

Wenn deine Trefferpunkte auf 0 fallen, bist du kampfunfähig[link10]. Sobald sie auf – 1 fallen, giltst du als sterbend[link11]. Wenn sie auf einen Wert in Höhe deines negativen Konstitutionswerts[link12] fallen, bist du tot[link13]. Siehe Verletzung und Tod[link14] für weitere Informationen.


Gelegenheitsangriffe

Manchmal vernachlässigt ein Kampfteilnehmer im Nahkampf seine Deckung[link5] oder unternimmt eine waghalsige Aktion. In diesem Fall können andere Kampfteilnehmer, die sich in seiner unmittelbaren Nähe befinden, einen Vorteil aus dieser Verteidigungsschwäche ziehen und ihn ein weiteres Mal angreifen. Diese freien Angriffe werden Gelegenheitsangriffe genannt. Auf dem Diagramm Gelegenheitsangriffe findest du ein Beispiel für die Funktionsweise von Gelegenheitsangriffen.



Bedrohte Felder: Selbst wenn du nicht an der Reihe bist, bedrohst du alle Felder, in die du einen Nahkampfangriff machen kannst. Das heißt, dass du im Normalfall alle Felder bedrohst, die an das Feld angrenzen, auf dem du stehst (inkl. der diagonalen Felder). Ein Gegner, der bestimmte Aktionen ausführt, während er sich auf einem von dir bedrohten Feld befindet, erlaubt dir damit einen Gelegenheitsangriff. Bist du unbewaffnet, bedrohst du normalerweise keine Felder und kannst daher auch keine Gelegenheitsangriffe ausführen.

Waffen mit Reichweite: Die meisten mittelgroßen oder kleineren Kreaturen haben eine Reichweite von 1,50m. Das bedeutet, dass sie gegen andere Kreaturen nur dann einen Nahkampfangriff ausführen können, wenn diese nicht mehr als 1,50 m (1 Feld) entfernt sind. Allerdings bedrohen kleine und mittelgroße Kreaturen mit einer Waffe mit Reichweite mehr Felder, als es normalerweise der Fall ist. Außerdem haben die meisten Kreaturen, die größer als mittelgroß sind, eine natürliche Reichweite von 3m oder mehr.

Einen Gelegenheitsangriff provozieren: Zwei Arten von Aktionen können einen Gelegenheitsangriff provozieren: sich aus einem bedrohten Feld herauszubewegen und in einem bedrohten Feld bestimmte Aktionen auszuführen.

Bewegung: Wenn du dich aus einem bedrohten Feld hinausbewegst, provozierst du damit für gewöhnlich einen Gelegenheitsangriff von allen Gegnern, die das Feld bedrohen. Zwei häufig angewandte Methoden, einen solchen Angriff zu vermeiden, sind der 1,50 m­Schritt und die Aktion Rückzug.

Eine ablenkende Handlung ausführen: Manche Aktionen provozieren einen Gelegenheitsangriff, wenn man sie in einem bedrohten Feld ausführt, weil du dadurch vom Kampfgeschehen abgelenkt wirst. Die Tabelle:Aktionen im Kampf führt viele Handlungen auf, die einen Gelegenheitsangriff provozieren.


Denke aber daran, dass es für Aktionen, die im Normalfall einen Gelegenheitsangriff provozieren auch Ausnahmen von der Regel geben kann.

Einen Gelegenheitsangriff ausführen: Ein Gelegenheitsangriff ist ein einzelner Nahkampfangriff. Die meisten Charaktere können pro Runde nur einen solchen Angriff ausführen. Du musst keinen Gelegenheitsangriff ausführen, wenn du das nicht möchtest.


Einen Gelegenheitsangriff machst du immer mit deinem normalen Angriffsbonus[link15], selbst wenn du in der Runde bereits angegriffen hast. Ein Gelegenheitsangriff „unterbricht“ den normalen Handlungsablauf einer Kampfrunde. Wenn ein Gelegenheitsangriff provoziert wird, löst man zuerst diesen Gelegenheitsangriff auf, bevor man mit dem nächsten Charakter fortfährt (oder die Aktionen des aktuellen Charakters weiterführt, falls der Gelegenheitsangriff während der Aktion dieses Charakters provoziert wurde).



Kampfreflexe und zusätzliche Gelegenheitsangriffe: Wenn du das Talent[link16] Kampfreflexe[link17] besitzt, kannst du deinen Geschicklichkeitsmodifikator[link3] zu der Anzahl von Gelegenheitsangriffen hinzuzählen, die du in einer Runde ausführen kannst. Das Talent[link16] erlaubt dir nicht, mehr als einen Gelegenheitsangriff pro Gelegenheit auszuführen, aber falls ein und derselbe Gegner zwei Gelegenheitsangriffe von dir provoziert, darfst du zwei Gelegenheitsangriffe auf ihn durchführen, da hier zwei verschiedene Gelegenheiten dargestellt werden. Die Bewegung aus mehr als einem von dem jeweiligen Gegner bedrohten Feld wird aber für den Gegner nicht als mehrere Gelegenheiten gewertet. Alle Gelegenheitsangriffe führst du mit deinem vollen Angriffsbonus[link15] aus.


Gelegenheitsangriffe


Bewegungsrate

Deine Bewegungsrate gibt an, wie weit du dich in einer Runde bewegen und zusätzlich noch etwas anderes tun, beispielsweise einen Angriff ausführen oder einen Zauber wirken kannst.


Deine Bewegungsrate hängt vor allem von deiner Volkszugehörigkeit und der Rüstung ab, die du trägst. Zwerge[link18], Gnome[link19] und Halblinge[link20] haben eine Bewegungsrate von 6m (4 Felder) oder 4,50 m (3 Felder), falls sie mittelschwere oder schwere Rüstung tragen (mit Ausnahme der Zwerge[link18], die sich in jeder Rüstung 6m weit bewegen können).Menschen[link21], Elfen[link22], Halb-Elfen[link23], Halb-Orks[link24] und die meisten humanoiden Monster haben eine Bewegungsrate von 9m (6 Felder), oder 6m (4 Felder) in mittelschwerer oder schwerer Rüstung.


Setzt du in einer Runde zwei Bewegungsaktionen ein (was manchmal auch als „Doppelte Bewegung“ bezeichnet wird), kannst du dich mit doppelter Bewegungsrate fortbewegen.


Bewegst du dich eine komplette Runde lang rennend fort, kannst du dich mit vierfacher Bewegungsrate fortbewegen (dreifache Bewegungsrate, falls du schwere Rüstung trägst).


Rettungswürfe

Wenn du einem magischen oder einem anderen ungewöhnlichen Angriff ausgesetzt bist, erhältst du für gewöhnlich einen Rettungswurf, um die Auswirkungen des Angriffs zu vermeiden oder zu verringern. Wie beim Angriffs ­ würfelst du auch beim Rettungswurf 1W20. Darauf addierst du einen auf Klasse[link25], Stufe und einem Attributswert[link26] (siehe dazu Kapitel Klassen[link25]) basierenden Bonus. Der Modifikator deines Rettungswurfs[link27] besteht aus:


Grundbonus auf RW + Attributsmodifikator[link3]


Arten von Rettungswürfen: Die drei verschiedenen Arten von Rettungswürfen sind Reflex, Willen und Zähigkeit:

Reflex: Diese Rettungswürfe stellen deine Fähigkeit dar, Angriffen mit Flächenwirkung auszuweichen und unerwarteten Situationen zu begegnen. Addiere deinen Geschicklichkeitsmodifikator[link3] auf alle Reflexwürfe.

Willen: Diese Rettungswürfe stellen deine Widerstandskraft gegen geistige Beeinflussung und Beherrschung sowie gegen viele magische Wirkungen dar. Addiere deinen Weisheitsmodifikator[link3] auf alle Willenswürfe.

Zähigkeit: Diese Rettungswürfe spiegeln deine Fähigkeit wider, massiven körperlichen Schaden auszuhalten und Angriffen auf deine Lebenskraft und Gesundheit zu widerstehen. Addiere deinen Konstitutionsmodifikator[link3] auf alle Zähigkeitswürfe.

Schwierigkeitsgrad von Rettungswürfen: Der Schwierigkeitsgrad eines Rettungswurf hängt vom Angriff ab.

Automatische Fehlschläge und Erfolge: Eine natürliche 1 (der W20 zeigt eine 1) bei einem Rettungswurf ist immer ein Patzer (und kann Gegenstände beschädigen, die der Wirkung ausgesetzt sind; siehe den Abschnitt Schaden an Gegenständen nach einem Rettungswurf). Eine natürliche 20 (der W20 zeigt eine 20) ist immer ein Erfolg.
