Inhalt


Ablauf eines Kampfes

Kämpfe sind in Runden unterteilt. Jeder Charakter handelt der Reihe nach in einer zyklisch festgelegten Reihenfolge. Ein Kampf verläuft dabei folgendermaßen:

1. Zu Beginn des Kampfes würfeln alle ihre Initiative aus.
2. Bestimme, welche Charaktere sich ihrer Gegner bewusst sind. Diese Charaktere können während der Überraschungsrunde handeln. Wenn sich alle Charaktere ihrer Gegner bewusst sind, setze den Kampf mit normalen Kampfrunden fort. Für weitere Informationen siehe den Abschnitt Überraschung.
3. Nach der Überraschungsrunde (falls es eine gegeben hat) sind alle Kampfteilnehmer für die erste Kampfrunde bereit.
4. Die Kampfteilnehmer handeln in Reihenfolge ihrer Initiativewerte (vom höchsten zum niedrigsten).
5. Wenn jeder an der Reihe war, beginnt die nächste Runde mit dem Kampfteilnehmer mit der höchsten Initiative, danach wiederholen sich die Schritte 3 und 4 bis zum Ende des Kampfs.

Die Kampfrunde

Jede Runde repräsentiert 6 Sekunden innerhalb der Spielwelt; eine Minute eines Kampfes ist also in zehn Runden unterteilt. Eine Runde stellt im Normalfall für jeden im Kampf befindlichen Charakter eine Möglichkeit dar, eine Aktion auszuführen.


Jede Runde beginnt mit der Handlung des Charakters mit der höchsten Initiative und wird dann in Reihenfolge abgehandelt. Sobald ein Charakter an der Reihe ist, führt er alle seine Aktionen für diese Runde aus (Ausnahmen werden in den Abschnitten Gelegenheitsangriffe[link1] und Besondere Initiative-Aktionen[link2] beschrieben).


Wenn die Regeln sich auf eine „Volle Runde“ beziehen, meinen sie damit meistens die Zeitspanne von einem beliebigen Inititativewert in der einen Runde zu demselben Initiativewert der Folgerunde. Effekte, die eine gewisse Anzahl von Runden andauern, enden genau vor dem Initiativewert, bei dem sie begannen.


Die Initiative

Zu Beginn eines Kampfes führt jeder Beteiligte einen Initiative wurf durch. Ein Initiativewurf ist ein Geschicklichkeitswurf[link3]. Jeder Charakter addiert also seinen oder ihren Geschicklichkeitsmodifikator[link4] auf den Wurf, wozu dann noch durch Talente, Sprüche oder andere Effekte entstandene Modifikatoren dazuaddiert werden. Die Charaktere handeln der Reihe nach, angefangen vom höchsten bis hin zum niedrigsten Ergebnis. In den folgenden Runden handeln die Charaktere in derselben Reihenfolge (außer ein Charakter führt eine Aktion aus, die seine Initiative verändert; siehe den Abschnitt Besondere Initiative-Aktionen[link2]).


Wenn zwei oder auch mehrere Kampfteilnehmer mit ihrem Initiativewurf dasselbe Ergebnis erzielen, handeln die betroffenen Kämpfer[link5] in Reihenfolge ihres Initiativemodifikators (vom höchsten an). Besteht auch hier noch ein Gleichstand, würfeln die betroffenen Charaktere erneut, um so zu bestimmen, wer an der Reihe ist.

Auf dem falschen Fuß erwischt: Zu Beginn eines Kampfes giltst du als auf dem falschen Fuß erwischt[link6], bis du eine Gelegenheit zum Handeln erhältst (genauer: bis du gemäß der Initiativereihenfolge das erste Mal an der Reihe bist). Solange du auf dem falschen Fuß erwischt[link6] bist, darfst du deinen Geschicklichkeitsbonus[link4] (falls vorhanden) nicht auf die RK[link7] anrechnen. Barbaren[link8] und Schurken[link9] der entsprechenden Stufen haben die außergewöhnliche Fähigkeit[link10] Reflexbewegung, was bedeutet, dass sie nicht auf dem falschen Fuß erwischt[link6] werden können. Charaktere mit dieser Fähigkeit behalten ihren Geschicklichkeitsbonus[link4] auf die RK[link7] und können Gelegenheitsangriffe[link1] ausführen, bevor sie in der ersten Kampfrunde gehandelt haben. Ein auf dem falschen Fuß erwischter Charakter kann keine Gelegenheitsangriffe[link1] ausführen, sofern er nicht das Talent[link11] Kampfreflexe[link12] besitzt.

Nicht aktiv: Selbst wenn du keine Aktionen ausführen kannst, behältst du für die Dauer der Begegnung deinen Initiativewert.


Überraschung

Wenn du zu Kampfbeginn deine Gegner nicht wahrgenommen hast, diese sich aber deiner bewusst sind, bist du überrascht.


Manchmal sind alle am Kampf beteiligten sich ihrer Gegner bewusst, manchmal keiner und manchmal nur einige von ihnen. Hin und wieder nehmen einige Kampfteilnehmer beider Parteien ihrer Gegner wahr und die übrigen nicht.


Um dies zu bestimmen, ist möglicherweise ein Wurf auf Wahrnehmung[link13] oder ein anderer Wurf nötig.

Die Überraschungsrunde: Wenn nur einige der am Kampf Beteiligten sich ihrer Gegner bewusst sind, findet vor der ersten regulären Kampfrunde eine Überraschungsrunde statt.


Die Kampfteilnehmer, die sich zu Beginn des Kampfes ihrer Gegner bewusst waren, führen in der Überraschungsrunde in Reihenfolge ihrer Initiative (von der höchsten zur niedrigsten) je eine Standard- oder Bewegungsaktion aus. Du kannst in der Überraschungsrunde auch Freie Aktionen ausführen. Wenn niemand bzw. wenn alle überrascht sind, findet keine Überraschungsrunde statt.

Überraschte Kampfteilnehmer: Kampfteilnehmer, die sich zu Beginn eines Kampfes ihrer Gegner nicht bewusst sind, dürfen in der Überraschungsrunde nicht handeln. Sie stehen auf dem falschen Fuß, weil sie noch nicht gehandelt haben, und verlieren daher ihren Geschicklichkeitsbonus[link4] auf die RK[link7].
