Klettern

(ST[link1]; Rüstungsmalus)
Du bist ein guter Kletterer und bewältigst glatte Stadtmauern ebenso gut wie Felsenklippen.

Wurf: Mit einem erfolgreichen Wurf auf Klettern kannst du Abhänge, Mauern oder anderes steiles Gelände (oder gar Decken mit Handgriffen) mit einem Viertel deiner normalen Bewegungsrate hinauf-und hinabklettern oder sie anderweitig überqueren. Als Abhang wird jeder Anstieg mit einem Steigungswinkel kleiner als 60° bezeichnet, als Mauer jeder Anstieg mit einem Steigungswinkel von 60° oder mehr.

Misslingt dein Wurf auf Klettern um weniger als 5 Punkte, machst du keinen Fortschritt, misslingt er aber um 5 oder mehr Punkte, fällst du hinab.

Der SG des Wurfs hängt von den Kletterbedingungen ab. Vergleiche die zu bewältigende Aufgabe mit der folgenden Tabelle, um den passenden SG zu bestimmen.

10Eine Oberfläche mit Vorsprüngen, auf denen man stehen und an denen man sich festhalten kann, wie. z.B. eine sehr unebene Mauer oder die Takelage eines Schiffs.
15Jede Oberfläche mit natürlichen oder künstlichen Fuß-und Handhalten, z.B. eine sehr unebene natürliche Felswand oder ein Baum, ein unverknotetes Seil; oder du ziehst dich hoch, wenn du dich nur mit deinen Händen festhältst.
20Eine unebene Oberfläche mit einigen schmalen Hand und Fußhalten, z.B. die typische Mauer in einem Gewölbe.
25Eine raue Oberfläche, z.B. eine natürliche Felswand oder eine Ziegelsteinmauer.
30Ein Überhang oder eine Decke mit Handgriffen, aber keinen Fußhalten.
-Eine absolut glatte, flache, senkrechte Oberfläche kann man nicht hinaufklettern.

Modifikatoren

SG-Modifikator fürs Klettern*Oberfläche oder Aktion
-10Du kletterst einen natürlichen oder künstlichen Kamin oder einen anderen Ort hinauf oder hinab, an dem du dich gegen zwei gegenüberliegende Wände stemmen kannst (verringert den SG um 10).
-5Du kletterst in einer Ecke, in der du dich gegen im rechten Winkel zueinander stehende Mauern stemmen kannst (verringert den SG um 5).
+5Glatte Oberflächen (erhöht den SG um 5).
* Es handelt sich hier um kumulative Modifikatoren. Rechne alle mit ein, die anwendbar sind.

Um zu klettern, musst du beide Hände frei haben, du kannst dich aber mit einer Hand an einer Wand festhalten, während du einen Zauber wirkst oder eine andere Aktion ausführst, für die du nur eine Hand brauchst. Während du kletterst, kannst du Schlägen nicht ausweichen und verlierst daher den Geschicklichkeitsbonus auf die RK (falls vorhanden). Auch kannst du beim Klettern keinen Schild benutzen. Jedes Mal, wenn du beim Klettern Schaden erleidest, musst du einen Wurf auf Klettern gegen den SG des Hangs oder der Mauer bestehen. Scheiterst du, fällst du nach unten und erleidest Fallschaden[link2] entsprechend der Höhe, aus der du herab gefallen bist.

Beschleunigtes Klettern: Du versuchst, schneller als gewöhnlich zu klettern. Nimmst du einen Malus von -5 auf deinen Wurf in Kauf, kannst du statt mit einem Viertel deiner normalen Bewegungsrate mit deiner halben Bewegungsrate klettern.

Anfertigen eigener Handgriffe und Fußhalte: Du kannst mit Kletterhaken[link3] eigene Handgriffe und Fußhalte in eine Wand schlagen. Das dauert 1 Minute pro Kletterhaken und pro 1,50 m Entfernung brauchst du einen Kletterhaken[link3]. Wie auch bei Oberflächen mit Handgriffen und Fußhalten hat eine Wand mit Kletterhaken einen SG von 15. Auf dieselbe Weise kann ein Kletterer mit einer Handaxt[link4] oder einem ähnlichen Werkzeug Handgriffe in eine Eiswand schlagen.

Den eigenen Fall abfangen: Es ist nahezu unmöglich, sich selbst abzufangen, wenn man fällt. Dafür muss man einen Wurf auf Klettern (SG der Wand + 20) bestehen. Es ist aber wesentlich einfacher, den Sturz von einem Hang abzufangen (SG des Hangs + 10).

Beim Klettern den Fall eines anderen abfangen: Wenn jemand fällt, der über dir oder in deiner Nähe klettert, kannst du versuchen, den Fallenden zu fangen, sobald er oder sie in deiner Reichweite ist. Dazu muss dir ein erfolgreicher Berührungsangriff gegen den Fallenden gelingen (er oder sie kann dabei freiwillig auf den Geschicklichkeitsbonus[link5] auf die RK[link6] verzichten). Im Falle eines Treffers musst du sofort einen Wurf auf Klettern ablegen (SG der Wand + 10). Ein Erfolg bedeutet, dass du den fallenden Charakter abfängst. Sein Gesamtgewicht inklusive seiner Ausrüstung darf aber deine Obergrenze für eine schwere Last nicht überschreiten, sonst fällst du automatisch ebenfalls. Misslingt dein Wurf auf Klettern um weniger als 5 Punkte, kannst du den Fall des Charakters zwar nicht verhindern, dich selbst aber weiter an der Wand halten. Misslingt dein Wurf um 5 oder mehr Punkte, beginnst du ebenfalls zu fallen.

Aktion: Klettern ist ein Teil der Bewegung, also gewöhnlich Teil einer Bewegungsaktion (und kann daher mit anderen Arten von Bewegungen in einer Bewegungsaktion kombiniert werden). Jede Bewegungsaktion, die Klettern beinhaltet, erfordert einen eigenen Wurf auf Klettern. Den eigenen Sturz oder den Fall eines anderen abzufangen, erfordert keine Aktion.

Speziell: Du kannst mit einem Seil und schierer Körperkraft einen Charakter nach oben ziehen oder nach unten ablassen. Auf diese Art und Weise kannst du das Doppelte deiner Maximallast anheben.

Jede Kreatur mit einer speziellen Kletterbewegungsrate erhält einen Volksbonus von +8 auf alle Würfe für Klettern. Eine solche Kreatur muss jedes Mal einen Wurf für Klettern machen, wenn sie eine Wand oder einen Hang mit einem SG über 0 hochklettern will, darf aber "10 nehmen", selbst wenn sie beim Klettern gehetzt oder bedroht wird.

Versucht eine Kreatur mit Kletterbewegungsrate, schneller zu klettern (siehe oben), bewegt sie sich mit ihrer doppelten Kletterbewegungsrate oder ihrer doppelten Bewegungsrate zu Lande, je nachdem, welches die niedrigere Bewegungsrate ist. Dafür macht die Kreatur einen einzelnen Wurf auf Klettern mit einem Malus von -5. Sie behält beim Klettern ihren Geschicklichkeitsbonus auf die RK (falls vorhanden), ihre Gegner erhalten daher keinen besonderen Bonus bei Angriffen gegen sie. Allerdings kann die Kreatur beim Klettern nicht die Aktion Rennen einsetzen.

Wenn du das Talent Athlet[link7] besitzt, erhältst du einen Bonus von +2 auf Würfe für Klettern (siehe Kapitel Talente[link8].
