1. Was ist das DPRD?

Das DPRD steht für Deutsches Pathfinder-(Regel)Referenz-Dokument.


Es enthält in seiner Endausbaustufe sämtliche für die deutsche Pathfinder-Ausgabe veröffentlichten Regeln gemäß OGL[link1].

2. Wer macht das DPRD?

Das DPRD wird von einer Gruppe enthusiastischer Pathfinder-Fans erstellt, die mit dem offiziellen Sanctus des deutschen Herausgebers Ulisses Spiele[link2] eine Online-Version der Pathfinder-Regeln bereit stellen.

3. Was ist die OGL?

OGL[link1] ist gewissermaßen die Basis der Pathfinder-Regeln.


Pathfinder basiert auf D&D 3.5 und dieses wiederum auf D&D 3.0. Beim Erscheinen von D&D 3.0 geschah etwas Revolutionäres. Vorher waren die Regeln sorgfältig vom D&D-Herausgeber gehütet worden und selbst von Fans erstellte neue Zauber oder Monster wurden rigoros unterbunden. Mit D&D 3.0 wurde die Open Game Licence (kurz: OGL)[link1] eingeführt und damit wurden mit einem Schlag fast sämtliche Inhalte von D&D und später von Pathfnider unter eine freie Lizenz gestellt.

4. Was ermöglicht die OGL?

Die OGL[link1] ermöglicht stark vereinfacht ausgedrückt, sämtliche unter OGL[link1] veröffentlichte Inhalte wiederum frei weiterzuverwenden. Pathfinder entstand z.B. als Fortentwicklung von D&D 3.5, weil die OGL[link1] es ermöglichte, den unter OGL[link1] stehenden Hauptteil der Regeln inkl. Zaubern und Monstern von D&D 3.5 (kurz: OGL 3.5) zu verwenden und weiterzuentwickeln. Das auf diese Weise aus OGL 3.5 weiterentwickelte Regelwerk ist heute als Pathfinder-Grundregelwerk und Pathfinder-Monsterhandbuch bekannt. ;)


Jede/r Interessierte kann mithilfe der OGL[link1] nun auch auf deutsch eigene Produkte erstellen und vertreiben, die die DPRD-Inhalte verwenden und somit zu 100% Pathfinder-kompatibel sind.


Das können z.B. selbst geschriebene Abenteuer, aber z.B. auch eine Liste neuer Zauber oder sogar eigene Pathfinder-kompatible Kampagnenwelten sein.

5. Was muss ich bei der OGL beachten?

Jedes unter OGL[link1] veröffentlichte Produkte besitzt auf einer Seite (meist am Ende des Bandes) eine abgedruckte Version der englischsprachigen OGL-Erklärung. Diese OGL-Erklärung kennzeichnet genau, welche freien OGL-Inhalte es verwendet (meist z.B. Pathfinder Grundregelwerk und Pathfinder Monsterhandbuch). Sie informiert außerdem darüber, welche Teile des Bandes urheberrechtlich geschützt sind (bei Pathfinder in der Regel die Golarion-Inhalte) und welche ebenfalls der OGL unterliegen (der verbleibende Rest) und somit ebenfalls in anderen OGL-Produkten verwendet werden können.

6. Was ist das Ziel der OGL?

Das ist eine fast schon philosophische Frage. ;)


Ulisses Spiele[link2] als Herausgeber der deutschen Pathfinder-Ausgabe möchte jedenfalls durch die bis auf Widerruf geltende Freigabe der deutschen Regelinhalte unter der OGL[link1] erreichen, dass es noch einfacher wird, eigene Produkte für das deutsche Pathfinder zu erstellen. Ulisses wird dazu in Kürze eigene Workshops und Blog-Informationen bereitstellen und hilft bei Bedarf auch beim Veröffentlichen eigener Pathfinder-Produkte.

7. Wo liegen die Grenzen der OGL?


Die OGL[link1] gilt nur für OGL-Inhalte. Das sind bei Pathfinder die Regelinhalte.


Inhalte der Kampagnenwelt Golarion sind vom Herausgeber der amerikanischen Originalausgabe urheberrechtlich geschützt, so dass selbst Ulisses Spiele[link2] als Herausgeber der deutschen Lizenzausgabe z.B. keine eigenen Inhalte für die Pathfinder-Kampagnenwelt veröffentlichen dürfte.


Einen gewissen Freiraum für Faninhalte und kostenlos angebotene Inhalte bietet die Community-Use-Policy[link3] des amerikanischen Herausgebers, die ebenfalls von Ulisses Spiele[link2] bis auf Widerruf unterstützt wird. Mehr dazu im folgenden Punkt.

8. Was ist die Community Use Policy?

Die Community Use Policy (kurz: CUP)[link4] ist eine Fan-Richtlinie des amerikanischen Pathfinder-Herausgebers Paizo[link5]. Sie erlaubt unter bestimmten Auflagen, Teile der ansonsten urheberrechtlich geschützten Pathfinder-Inhalte (v.a. alles Golarion-Bezogene) für Fanprojekte zu nutzen. Eine Voraussetzung ist die Registrierung auf der Paizo-CUP-Seite[link3]. Eine weitere, dass nur die dort genannten Inhalte gemäß CUP verwendet werden können. Und zuguterletzt darf diese Veröffentlichung nur kostenlos sein. Typischerweise sind damit z.B. Fan-Blogs gemeint. Eigene Produkte für Golarion sind auch mit CUP nicht möglich.

9. Gilt die Community Use Policy auch für das deutsche Pathfinder?

Ulisses[link2] unterstützt die CUP[link3] bis auf Widerruf auch auf deutsch, so dass ihr nach der Registrierung bei Paizo und Anerkennung der dort genannten Bedingungen z.B. folgendes in Blogs veröffentlichen könnt:

10. Darf ich auf der Basis der PRD selbst erstellte Abenteuer/Bücher zum kauf anbieten?

Ja. Beachte aber, das die OGL[link7] in euren Werken enthalten sein muss und sich euer Werke auch nach den dort beschriebenen Regeln richtet. Das heißt z.B. das ihr keinen Bezug auf Golarion und andere Kampagnenspezifische Inhalte verwenden dürft.

11. Welche Bücher werden in die PRD noch eingefügt?

Alle Bücher die unter der OGL[link7] stehen und auf deutsch verfügbar sind werden mit der Zeit in die PRD mit aufgenommen werden. Das "Übersichts-Menü" bietet schon einige Hinweise was noch alles kommen wird.


Ulisses hat uns erlaubt auch OGL[link7]-Inhalte aus Büchern mit aufzunehmen, z.B. Talente und Zauber aus dem "Weltenband der Inneren See". Allerdings müssen die Inhalte oder Namen einzelner Abschnitte abgeändert werden, um der OGL[link7] gerecht zu werden. Dieser Schritt wird sich aber wohl noch etwas hinziehen, bis die Regelwerke alle in der PRD verfügbar sind.

12. Werden auch Golarion spezifische Bücher in der PRD erscheinen?

Die meisten Inhalte dieser Bücher unterliegen nicht der OGL[link7]. Aber es gibt Lichtblicke, siehe FAQ-Eintrag[link8].

13. Welches Buch wird als nächstes online kommen?

Die Entscheidung hängt von verschiedenen Faktoren ab. Wir arbeiten eng mit Ulisses zusammen, um direkt Errata, neu Auflagen und ähnliches mit einzuarbeiten. Das bedeutet allerdings auch das wir einige Regelbände eben aus diesen Gründen verschieben müssen um ein Buch nicht gleich wieder überarbeiten zu müssen.
Es ist geplant jedes Pathfinder Regelwerk (nicht mit Golarion Kampagenbänden verwechseln) in dir PRD aufzunehmen, eine feste Reihenfolge gibt es aus den oben genannten Gründen allerdings nicht.

14. Wie lange dauert es noch bis das Buch XYZ in der PRD erscheint?

Die PRD wird von Fans des Pathfinder Rollenspiels in ihrer Freizeit betrieben. Je nachdem wie viel Freizeit vorhanden ist, kann es mal schneller und mal langsamer gehen. Wir haben die großartige Unterstützung von Ulisses, aber es ist und bleibt ein Freizeitprojekt.

15. Wie kann ich die PRD unterstützen?

Wir sind immer mal wieder auf der Suche nach weiteren Helfern. Allerdings beschränken wir uns möglichst auf einen kleinen Kreis, da man auch Leute zum anlernen abstellen muss. Welche Qualifikationen man neben viel Zeit und der Bereitschaft sich an gewisse Regeln zu halten noch benötigt steht hier beschrieben[link9].
Über ein wenig Lob freuen wir uns natürlich immer. Vielleicht bist du ein CSS-Künstler[link10] oder hast Kenntnisse in einer Programmiersprache[link11] und willst dich entsprechend einbringen?

16. Wo kann ich Lob oder Kritik über die PRD los werden?

17. In der englischen PRD steht noch viel mehr drin, warum nicht auch hier?

Das kann daran liegen, das wir das entsprechende Buch einfach noch nicht in der PRD haben.
Eventuell beziehst du dich auch auf Drittanbieter-Material von d20pfsrd[link13] und nicht auf die Paizo PRD[link14]. Fremdsprachiges Drittanbieter-Material (also nicht von Paizo) wird von Ulisses nicht, oder nur in wenigen Ausnahmen, übersetzt. Wir schließen es nicht vollkommen aus, irgend wann einmal übersetzte Inhalte von Drittanbietern oder deutschsprachige Inhalte von Drittanbietern in die PRD mit einzupflegen, aber das steht noch in Ferner Zukunft.

18. Ist es Absicht, das beim drucken eines Beitrags die OGL mit angehängt wird?

Ja. Aber man muss ja nicht alle Seiten drucken.

19. Ich habe weitere Fragen zum Pathfinder Rollenspiel. Wo kann ich diese am besten stellen?

Schon einen Blick in die gesammelten FAQs[link15] geworfen? Eventuell wird dort schon deine Frage beantwortet.

20. Die Such-Funktion findet nicht das was ich suche?

Die Such-Funktion reagiert auf bestimmte Schlagwörter. Diese Schlagwörter aktualisieren sich automatisch alle paar Tage. Bei neuen Inhalten die frisch in die PRD geschrieben wurden kann es also zu einer gewissen Verzögerung kommen. Eine Volltextsuche hat sich nicht als praktikabel erwiesen. Die Schlagworte haben auch noch andere Vorteile:
Sucht hier z.B. nur Kreaturen mit einer HG von 5, dann schreibt einfach "HG 5[link17]" in das Suchfeld.
Zauber einer bestimmten Klasse können so ebenfalls leicht gefunden werden, der Suchbegriff "Barde 1[link18]" listet alle Zauber des Barden auf der ersten Stufe auf.
Der Suchbegriff "Gift[link19]" listet nicht nur jedes Gift auf, sondern auch alle Kreaturen die diesen Eintrag haben.

21. Du hast ein Programm geschrieben, das deiner Meinung nach in die PRD passt?

22. Darf ich auf die PRD verlinken?

Selbstverständlich.


Wenn ihr den Link direkt auf einen bestimmten Bereich legen wollt müsst ihr den Link etwas erweitern. Setzt ein "#" Symbol hinten dran und danach den Namen des Ankers, dabei ersetzt ihr alle Leer- oder Sonderzeichen mit einem "-". (Alle Überschriften und fett/kursiv geschriebenen Stellen sind Anker).
Beispiel: Ihr wollt direkt einen Link zu "Lied des Mutes" des Barden setzen. -> http://prd.5footstep.de/Grundregelwerk/Klassen/Barde#Lied-des-Mutes

23. Die PRD basiert auf einer Wiki-Technik. Kann ich Zugang zu der Datenbank für mein Projekt erhalten?

Nein, das ist leider nicht möglich. Je nach Projekt und um was es sich genau dabei handelt könnten wir vielleicht ein Backup bereit stellen. Nimm am besten Kontakt mit uns[link20] auf.

24. Wenn ich das Layout wechsle kommen manchmal noch Seiten mit den vorher gewählten Layouts?

Das liegt an dem Cache deines Browsers. Es kann bis zu 10 Minuten dauern, bis dein Browser alle Seiten neu eingelesen hat und nicht mehr aus dem Cache liest. Einfach abwarten, das regelt sich von ganz allein.

25. Wird es noch mehr Layouts geben? Die gefallen mir alle nicht.

Ja, es wird noch mehr Layouts geben, an einigen wird auch noch gearbeitet. Im späteren Verlauf wird es auch einen Beitrag geben um selbst Layouts zu designen. Allerdings wird es für das Erstellen einige Regeln und Richtlinien geben die beachtet werden müssen. Darunter auch, das ihr euch ein eigene Testumgebung erschaffen müsst. Bis das Tutorial steht können Informationen dazu per Anfrage[link20] bereit gestellt werden.

26. Ich habe einen Fehler gefunden. Wo kann ich ihn melden?

Am Ende jeder Seite (Fußzeile/Footer) gibt es einen Link "Fehler gefunden?" der euch zu einem Formular führt, wo ihr euren Fund angeben könnt. Je genauer die Angabe, desto leichter ist es für uns, das ganze nachzuvollziehen.


26.1. Warum wird nach der Seitenzahl im Buch gefragt?

Wir arbeiten eng mit Ulisses zusammen und die Fehlermeldungen werden dem Verlag selbstverständlich für eventuelle Buch-Errata zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Angabe der Seitenzahl würde uns den Schritt der Fehlersuche erheblich vereinfachen, ist aber nicht zwingend notwendig.


26.2. Warum werden manche Fehler zeitnah behoben, andere (ältere) bleiben jedoch weiterhin bestehen?

Online Version und Buch Version sollen identisch bleiben. Das bedeutet, es gibt zwei Arten von Fehlern für uns. Reine PRD-Fehler die durch den Kopier- und Editiervorgang zustande kommen sind. Diese Fehler können wir direkt korrigieren. Regelfehler die wir aus den Büchern übernommen haben, werden an den Verlag gemeldet. Nur so bleiben die Inhalte der PRD und den Büchern identisch.


26.3. Ein Link hat den falschen Namen, wurde aber richtig verlinkt. Ist das nun ein Fehler?

Die Frage deckt sich etwas mit der vorherigen.

27. Wie kann ich mein eigenes Pathfinder-Material bei Ulisses anbieten?

Hallo zusammen! Da wir aktuell noch zwei weitere Drittanbieter-PDFs von Pathfinder in der Vorbereitung haben, möchte ich einmal darüber sprechen, wie ihr Material bei uns einreichen könnt.


Grundsätzlich kann jeder Material mit Pathfinderregeln über unseren Shop anbieten, wenn er ein paar Regeln beachtet. In dem PDF muss es ein Impressum geben, in dem folgende Abschnitte enthalten sind:


Dieses Produkt verwendet das Pathfinder Grundregelwerk[link21] [oder entsprechende sowie weitere Bände]. Es entspricht der Open Game License (OGL)[link1] und kann mit dem Pathfinder Rollenspiel oder der Version 3.5 des ältesten Fantasy-Rollenspiels der Welt genutzt werden. Die OGL ist am Ende des Dokumentes zu finden.







Wird auf Golarioninhalte hingewiesen, muss folgender Passus ergänzt und natürlich auch beachtet werden! Über die Community-Use-Regelung[link4] (http://paizo.com/paizo/about/communityuse) hinaus dürfen Paizo-Inhalte nicht verwendet werden. Allerdings ermöglicht euch Paizo Symbole, Logos, Karten und Illustrationen aus den Paketen auf der folgenden Seite kostenlos in euren Downloads zu verwenden http://paizo.com/paizo/about/communityuse/package. Wird Golarion verwendet, MUSS das Produkt kostenlos angeboten werden! Allerdings ist die Bitte um Spenden, bzw. eine „Bezahl was du willst!“-Option okay, solange das Produkt kostenlos bezogen werden kann.




Eingereichtes Material kann dann nur einmal im Monat vom Einreichenden aktualisiert werden. Das hat den Hintergrund, damit nicht alle drei bis vier Tage neue PDFs des Materials eingereicht wird, wenn man Tippfehler behoben hat. Dadurch würde der Arbeitsaufwand für uns leider zu stark ansteigen.Sammelt eure Errata und erstellt nach einem Monat ein neues Dokument, das ihr dann erneut einreicht.


Das Produkt braucht ein Cover als JPG im RGB-Farbraum mit 900 Pixeln Breite. Ein Klappentext mit Produktbeschreibung ist ebenfalls einzureichen, damit das PDF veröffentlicht werden kann. Jeder hat dazu noch die Chance (und sollte diese nutzen!) einen Artikel auf unserer Homepage zu seinem Produkt zu veröffentlichen, um es zu bewerben und vorzustellen.


Sollte das Produkt verkauft werden, bitten wir euch unsere Preisvorschläge zu beachten. Diese sind allerdings nicht verbindlich, der Preis kann von euch selber bestimmt werden. Ihr könnt zwar keine Produkte komplett kostenlos anbieten (dafür bräuchtet ihr unseren Shop nicht), aber könnt die „Bezahl so viel Du möchtest“-Option für Kunden auswählen.
