Es gibt Paktmagier, welche nicht die traditionellen Eidola beschwören, sondern sich anderer Mächte bedienen, um ihre wichtigsten Verbündeten auszuformen. Manche versehen ihre Eidola mit tierischen Merkmalen, während andere eine starke Bindung mit einem schamanischen Totem eingehen.

Naturalist (Archetyp)

Ein Naturalist ist ein Paktmagier, welcher mit der Natur im Einklang ist und mit seiner Magie seinem Eidolon diverse Tieraspekte verleiht. Er ähnelt eher einem Jäger als einem der arkanen Zauberkundigen, da er instinktiv die Macht solcher Kreaturen wie Bär, Wolf, Maus oder Tiger meistert, um sein exotisches Eidolon zum perfekten lebenden Werkzeug für Kampf oder Heimlichkeit zu machen, bis er schließlich entdeckt, wie er diese Verwandlungen auch auf sich selbst anwenden kann.

Verbündeten der Natur herbeizaubern (ZF[link1]): Mit der 1. Stufe kann der Naturalist anstelle Monster herbeizaubern als zauberähnliche Fähigkeit Verbündeten der Natur herbeizaubern[link2] wirken. Er kann diese Fähigkeit Charismamodifikator[link3] +3 Mal am Tag anwenden, aber nur Kreaturen der Kategorie Magische Bestie[link4], Tier[link5] oder Ungeziefer[link6] herbeizaubern. Diese Fähigkeit funktioniert ansonsten wie das Paktmagierklassenmerkmal Monster herbeizaubern[link7] (siehe Expertenregeln, Kapitel 2, „Paktmagier[link8]“) und wird wie dieses mit höherer Stufe machtvoller und unterliegt denselben Einschränkungen. Diese Fähigkeit ersetzt Monster herbeizaubern I[link9].

Tieraspekt (ÜF[link10]): Mit der 4. Stufe kann ein Naturalist als Schnelle Aktion seinem Eidolon[link11] einen Tieraspekt[link12] verleihen. Wenn er diese Fähigkeit nutzt, wählt er einen Tieraspekt[link12] des Jägers (siehe Kapitel 1, „Jäger[link13]“) aus und verleiht diesen seinem Eidolon[link11]. Seine effektive Jägerstufe für diese Fähigkeit entspricht seiner Paktmagierstufe -2. Er selbst kann sich keinen Tieraspekt verleihen (aber siehe unten, „Geteilter Tieraspekt“). Dieser Effekt hält an, bis er sein Eidolon[link11] fortschickt oder es auf seine Heimatebene zurückgeschickt wird. Wenn einem Eidolon[link11] ein Tieraspekt[link12] verliehen wird, passt sich seine Gestalt äußerlich diesem Aspekt an. Wird z.B. einem Eidolon[link11] der Aspekt der Fledermaus[link14] verliehen, könnte es größere Augen und Ohren erhalten und vielleicht Hautmembranen zwischen den Gliedmaßen und dem Körper, während der Aspekt des Hirsches[link15] dem Eidolon[link11] ein Geweih und Hufe an den Füßen verleihen könnte. Keine dieser Veränderungen wirkt sich auf die natürlichen oder magischen Fähigkeiten des Eidolons[link11] aus. Diese Fähigkeit ersetzt Verbündeten schützen[link16] und Mächtiges Verbündeten schützen[link17].

Zweiter Tieraspekt (ÜF[link10]): Mit der 10. Stufe kann der Naturalist seinem Eidolon[link11] zwei unterschiedliche Tieraspekte[link12] verleihen, wenn er Tieraspekt nutzt. Die Gestalt des Eidolons[link11] passt sich äußerlich beiden Aspekten an. Diese Fähigkeit ersetzt das Paktmagierklassenmerkmal Paktevolution[link18].

Geteilter Tieraspekt (ÜF[link10]): Mit der 14. Stufe übernimmt der Naturalist einen Teil des tierhaften Wesens seines Eidolons[link11]. Wenn er Tieraspekt nutzt, um seinem Eidolon[link11] einen Aspekt zu verleihen, erhält er die Effekte des gewählten Aspektes ebenfalls und behält sie, bis er das Eidolon[link11] fortschickt oder es aus anderen Gründen auf seine Heimatebene zurückgeschickt wird. Der Naturalist kann nur einen Tieraspekt erlangen, selbst wenn er imstande ist, seinem Eidolon[link11] mehrere Aspekte zu verleihen (in diesem Fall wählt er aus, welcher Aspekt ihn betreffen soll). Diese Fähigkeit ersetzt Lebensbund[link19].

Dritter Tieraspekt (ÜF[link10]): Mit der 18. Stufe kann der Naturalist seinem Eidolon[link11] drei unterschiedliche Tieraspekte verleihen, wenn er seine Fähigkeit Tieraspekt nutzt. Einer dieser Aspekt besteht, bis der Naturalist ihn wieder ändert. Diese Fähigkeit ersetzt Mächtige Paktevolution[link20].



Totembeschwörer (Archetyp)

Ein Totembeschwörer ist ein arkaner Zauberkundiger, dessen Eidolon die Manifestation eines schamanischen Totems ist. Die Bindung zwischen dem Paktmagier und diesem Totem kann freundschaftlich sein, wenn z.B. ein Stammesmitglied seinem Schutzgeist Gestalt verleiht, oder feindselig, wenn z.B. ein Fremder oder Rivale die Dienste eines unwilligen Totems in Anspruch nimmt. Der Totembeschwörer kann die göttliche Kraft des Totems nutzen, wird aber nicht durch dessen Moral oder Ethik eingeschränkt.

Totem (ÜF[link10]): Ein Totembeschwörer geht eine mystische Bindung mit einem Schamanentotem ein (siehe Kapitel 1, „Schamane[link21]“). Er erhält die Totemfähigkeit dieses Totems[link22] und nutzt seine Paktmagierstufe als effektive Schamanenstufe, um die Effekte dieser Fähigkeit zu bestimmen. Er kann die vom Totem[link22] verliehenen Zauber als bekannte Paktmagierzauber nutzen, wobei er mit dem Zaubergrad wirkt, auf dem sie ein Schamane wirken würde. Der Paktmagier kann keine Totemzauber jenseits des 6. Grades auswählen.
Mit der 9. Stufe erhält der Totembeschwörer die Mächtigen Fähigkeiten des Totems[link22] und mit der 17. Stufe die Wahren Fähigkeiten des Totems[link22]. Diese Fähigkeit ersetzt alle Varianten von Monster herbeizaubern.

Eidolon: Mit der 1. Stufe beginnt ein Totembeschwörer das Spiel mit einem machtvollen, als Eidolon[link11] bezeichneten Externar[link23]. Gestalt und Fähigkeiten des Externar[link23] müssen zu seinem ausgewählten Totem[link22] passen, wobei der SL das letzte Wort hat – ein Totembeschwörer des Feuertotem[link24] könnte z.B. kein Eidolon[link11] mit Eis- oder Wasserfähigkeiten besitzen, während ein Totembeschwörer des Totems Totems des Lebens[link25] könnte kein scheusalartiges Eidolon besitzen usw. Der Totembeschwörer kann vorübergehende Effekte (z.B. EvolutionsschubEXP) nutzen, um dem Eidolon[link11] eine unpassende Gestalt zu geben, aber keine permanenten Effekte (z.B. Eidolon umwandeln[link26]EXP). Diese Fähigkeit modifiziert das Klassenmerkmal Eidolon[link11].

Hexerei: Mit der 6. Stufe kann ein Totembeschwörer eine zu seinem Totem[link22] passende Totemhexerei von der allgemeinen Liste der Schamanenhexereien oder der Liste der Hexereien des Totems[link22] auswählen. Diese Fähigkeit funktioniert wie eine Schamanenhexerei[link27] mit einer effektiven Schamanenstufe in Höhe seiner Paktmagierstufe. Wie ein Schamane nutzt ein Totembeschwörer seinen Weisheitsmodifikator[link3] zur Bestimmung des SG von Rettungswürfen[link28] gegen Hexereien. Mit der 8., 10. und 16. Stufe kann der Totembeschwörer eine weitere Hexerei[link29] auswählen. Diese Fähigkeit ersetzt Paktevolution[link18], Ruf des Schöpfers[link30], Verschmelzen[link31] und Platztausch[link32].
