Lokale Schutzgeister


Lokale Schutzgeister, auch als genii loci, Familien- oder Hausgeister bezeichnet, entstehen, wenn überschüssige mentale Energie mit mächtigen positiven emotionalen Resonanzen gesättigt wird. Meist passiert dies an Orten, die mit Wundern, wohlwollenden Schutzgeistern oder Gottheiten guter Gesinnung in Verbindung stehen. Lokale Schutzgeister füllen einen bestimmten Bereich aus; ihre übersinnliche Energie verstärkt dort erfahrene positive Gefühle und erschafft ein Gefühl von Frieden und Schutz. Ein Lokaler Schutzgeist manifestiert zudem eine einzigartige, zeremonielle Macht, die spezifisch mit der emotionalen Energie verbunden ist, die ihn hervorgebracht hat. Von sehr seltenen Umständen abgesehen, fasst ein Bereich maximal einen Lokalen Schutzgeist.

Regeln zu Lokalen Schutzgeistern

Durch die von ihm ausgehenden Gefühle von Frieden und schützender Wärme liegt die Präsenz eines Lokalen Schutzgeistes für jeden in seinem Wirkungsbereich auf der Hand. Ein Lokaler Schutzgeist besitzt stets eine gute Gesinnung und die Aura eines guten Externaren hinsichtlich Gutes entdecken[link1] und ähnlichen Zaubern. Ein Lokaler Schutzgeist kann einen Wirkungsbereich von maximal 1,50 m x HG des Schutzgeistes ausfüllen, ist meist aber auf die Größe und Form des Gebietes beschränkt, in dem er entstanden ist.


Permanente Effekte: Ein Lokaler Schutzgeist erzeugt wenigstens einen der drei folgenden dauerhaften Effekte innerhalb des von bewohnten Bereiches. Er kann über einen zusätzlichen anhaltenden permanenten Effekt verfügen; jeder Effekt jenseits des ersten erhöht seinen HG um 1.

Beschützend: Der Wirkungsbereich des Lokalen Schutzgeistes wird von dem Effekt Schutzkreis gegen Böses[link2] beschützt.

Geweiht: Eine untote[link3] Kreatur erleidet innerhalb des Wirkungsbereiches eines Lokalen Schutzgeistes einen Malus von -1 auf Angriffs-, Schadens- und Rettungswürfe[link4].

Positiv energiegeladen: Der SG, um innerhalb des Wirkungsbereiches des Schutzgeistes positiver Energie zu widerstehen, erhält einen Heiligen Bonus von +4, während der SG von Rettungswürfen[link4] gegen negative Energie um 4 gesenkt wird. Dieser Effekt ist von Zauberresistenz[link5] nicht betroffen.

Neben seinem permanenten Effekt verfügt jeder Lokale Schutzgeist über einen zeremoniellen Effekt, den eine andere Kreatur mittels einer bestimmten Zeremonie aktivieren kann. Das Wissen um die passende Zeremonie zum Aktivieren des zeremoniellen Effektes eines Lokalen Schutzgeistes ist selten und kann eine Belohnung für sich darstellen; der SL kann einer Kreatur allerdings auch gestatten, einen Fertigkeitswurf für Wissen (Die Ebenen)[link6] oder Wissen (Religion)[link6] gegen SG 20 + HG des Geistes abzulegen, um Hinweise oder sogar alle Details hinsichtlich der Zeremonie zu erlangen. Die Zeremonie erfordert, dass der Ausführende alle in den Spielwerten des Lokalen Schutzgeistes aufgeführten Fertigkeitswürfe[link7] ablegt. Wenn die Zeremonie erfolgreich ausgeführt wird, manifestiert der Lokale Schutzgeist sofort seinen Effekt.


Art der Manifestation: Jeder zeremonielle Effekt einen Lokalen Schutzgeistes gehört einer folgenden Arten von Manifestation an:
Ein Ziel: Der Effekt wirkt nur auf den Durchführenden.

Mehrere Ziele: Der Effekt wirkt auf alle Kreaturen im Wirkungsbereich des Lokalen Schutzgeistes oder ist möglicherweise für andere Kreaturen als den Durchführenden nützlicher (beispielsweise etwas zu erschaffen, das von jedem benutzt werden kann, wäre eine Manifestation dieses Typs).

Segen: Der Effekt wirkt auf alle Kreaturen im Wirkungsbereich des Lokalen Schutzgeistes und gestattet betroffenen Charakteren, den Effekt innerhalb der nächsten 24 Stunden als Augenblickliche Aktion zu nutzen. Eine Kreatur kann stets immer nur von einem Segen eines Lokalen Schutzgeistes profitieren.

Nachdem ein Lokaler Schutzgeist seinen zeremoniellen Effekt manifestiert hat oder die Zeremonie gescheitert ist, kann der Geist den Effekt für die nächsten 24 Stunden nicht erneut manifestieren.

Verderbnis

Lokale Schutzgeister können nicht auf gewöhnliche Weise geschädigt werden, sind aber für Verderbnis empfänglich, so bestimmte Handlungen in ihren Wirkungsbereichen erfolgen. Jeder Lokale Schutzgeister verfügt über Trefferpunkt in Höhe seines doppelten HG, mit denen er Verderbnis widersteht. Besonders finstere Taten reduzieren die Trefferpunkte eines Lokalen Schutzgeistes und bringen ihn der Verderbnis näher, während bestimmte gute Taten ihm Trefferpunkte zurückgeben und ihn vor Verderbnis schützen.

Wird ein Lokaler Schutzgeister auf 0 TP reduziert, wird er verdorben und verhält sich fürderhin wie eine Spukerscheinung[link15] (Spielleiterhandbuch, S. 244) desselben HG; er verliert seine permanenten Schutzgeist-Effekte. Seine Effekte manifestieren sich stattdessen als geistesbeeinflussende Furchteffekte; diese neuen Effekte sollten einen ähnlichen Machtgrad wie der zeremonielle Effekt des Lokalen Schutzgeistes besitzen. Ein verdorbener Lokaler Schutzgeist besitzt die Aura eines bösen Externaren[link16] hinsichtlich Böses entdecken[link17] und ähnlicher Effekte. Im Gegensatz zu einer Spukerscheinung kann ein Lokaler Schutzgeist nicht mittels Vor Untoten verstecken[link18] getäuscht werden, er kann aber andere Modifikatoren von Spukerscheinungen erhalten, sofern sein HG unverändert bleibt. Die Spukerscheinung besitzt dieselbe Anzahl an Trefferpunkten wie der Lokale Schutzgeist als Maximum besaß; diese TP werden separat von denen des Lokalen Schutzgeistes nachgehalten (letztere verbleiben bei 0 TP, bis der Lokale Schutzgeist von der Verderbnis gereinigt wurde).

Verderbte Lokale Schutzgeister können neutralisiert oder zerstört werden wie Spukerscheinungen. Ein verderbter Lokaler Schutzgeist in im neutralisierten Zustand inaktiv; Charaktere können dann Effekte nutzen, die ihm Trefferpunkte zurückgeben, um ihn zu reinigen (siehe Tabelle). Handlungen, welche die Trefferpunkte des Lokalen Schutzgeistes wiederherstellen, wirken sich nicht auf die TP der Spukerscheinung aus. Sollte es gelingen, die Gesamt-TP des Lokalen Schutzgeistes wiederherzustellen, wird er von seiner Verderbnis befreit und erlangt seine frühere Position als Beschützer zurück. Solche Handlungen wirken sich nicht auf die TP der Spukerscheinung aus. Die Reinigung könnte im Rahmen mehrerer Begegnungen mit dem verderbten Geist erfolgen; bis zur Reinigung setzt sich die Spukerscheinung zurück.

Regelelemente eines Lokalen Schutzgeistes

Lokale Schutzgeister werden im folgenden Format vorgestellt:
Name des Lokalen Schutzgeistes: Dem Namen des Lokalen Schutzgeistes folgt sein HG.
EP: Diese Menge an EP erhalten die SC als Belohnung, wenn sie die verdorbene Form des Lokalen Schutzgeistes überleben. Die EP orientiert sich als HG des Geistes. Ein SL kann diese EP auch Charakteren zukommen lassen, die bei der Verfolgung ihrer Ziele einen Lokalen Schutzgeister vorsätzlich verderben.
Gesinnung, Permanente Effekte, Art der Manifestation und Wirkungsbereich: Dieser Eintrag nennt die Gesinnung[link19] des Lokalen Schutzgeistes, seine permanenten Effekte und die Art seiner Manifestation, sowie die Größe des von ihm erfüllten Bereiches (bis zu 1,50 m pro Zauberstufe).
Zauberstufe: Dies ist die effektive Zauberstufe des Lokalen Schutzgeistes hinsichtlich Magie bannen[link20] gegen seine andauernden Effekte und zum Bestimmen der Stärke der von ihm erzeugten Zaubereffekte.
TP: Dies sind die effektiven Trefferpunkte des Lokalen Schutzgeistes, um Verderbnis zu widerstehen. Die Maximal-TP eines Lokalen Schutzgeistes entsprechen dem Doppelten seines HG.
Schwäche: Hier werden die Schwächen genannt, die der Lokale Schutzgeister besitzt, z.B. Schwer zu heilen oder Empfänglich für Verderbnis.
Zeremonie: Dies sind die Fertigkeitswürfe[link7], welche ausgeführt werden müssen, damit der Lokale Schutzgeist seinen zeremoniellen Effekt manifestiert.
Effekt: Dieser Eintrag beschreibt den zeremoniellen Effekt des Lokalen Schutzgeistes und wie sich der Geist manifestiert.
Verderbniseffekt: Dieser Eintrag beschreibt, was mit den Effekten des Lokalen Schutzgeistes passiert, wenn dieser verderbt wird.

Erschaffen eines Lokalen Schutzgeistes

Befolge diese Schritte, um einen Lokalen Schutzgeist zu erschaffen:

Schritt 1 — Grund-HG: Der Grund-HG eines Lokalen Schutzgeistes ist 1 + Grad des Spruches, den er duplizieren möchte.

Schritt 2 — Tatsächlicher HG: Wähle die Elemente, die dein Lokaler Schutzgeist besitzen soll, und addiere die Modifikatoren auf seinen endgültigen HG (siehe [[#Tabelle-HG-Modifikatoren-für-lokale-Schutzgeister Tabelle: HG-Modifikatoren für lokale Schutzgeister).

Schritt 3 — Zauberstufe: Die ZS eines Lokalen Schutzgeistes entspricht seinem HG.

Schritt 4 — Trefferpunkte: Die TP eines Lokalen Schutzgeistes entsprechen seinem doppelten HG.

Schritt 5 — Zeremonien-SG: Der SG von Fertigkeitswürfen zum Aktivieren des zeremoniellen Effektes ist 20 + HG des Lokalen Schutzgeistes.

Schritt 6 — Rettungswurf-SG: Sollte der zeremonielle Effekt eines Lokalen Schutzgeistes einen Rettungswurf[link4] gestatten, um dem Effekt zu widerstehen oder zu entgehen, ist der SG des Rettungswurfes 10 + Zaubergrad + Mindestattributsmodifikator, der zum Wirken eines Zaubers dieses Grades benötigt wird. Der zeremonielle Effekt ist in der Regel harmlos, so dass ein Rettungswurf[link4] nur anfällt, wenn eine Kreatur ihm freiwillig widerstehen oder entgehen will.

Schritt 7 — Verderbniseffekt, Angriff und Rettungswurf-SG: Ein verderbter Lokaler Schutzgeist manifest sich als geistesbeeinflussender Furchteffekt desselben Zaubergrades wie sein einmaliger Effekt. Der Angriffsbonus eines verderbten Lokalen Schutzgeistes entspricht in der Regel seinem HG, sofern er benötigt wird.

Verderbniseffekt Waffengesinnung[link23] wird zu Zerbersten[link24] (SG 13).

Ruf des Helden HG 4

Diese bietet er dem Durchführenden und seinen Verbündeten an (wie Nahrung und Wasser erschaffen[link28]).
Verderbniseffekt Nahrung und Wasser erschaffen[link28] wird zu Ansteckung[link29] (SG 14).
