Die folgenden Optionen stehen Tengus offen. Mit Genehmigung des SL können auch andere, passende Völker von einigen Gebrauch machen.

Ausrüstung der Tengus

Schreckensdrachen: Dieser kleine Drache wird meistens mit einem grimmigen Gesicht und hellen Farben bemalt. An seinem Rahmen befinden sich gezackte, hölzerne Klingen. Der Bindfaden wird verstärkt, indem man ihn in Klebstoff einweicht. Manchmal kommen auch noch Glassplitter hinzu, um ihm eine schwache Schneide zu verleihen. Der Drachen hat Härte[link4] 5 und 3 TP. Beteiligte eines Drachenkampfes können abwechselnd Kampfmanöver[link5] für Gegenstand zerschmettern[link6] gegen den Drachen des anderen ausführen. Ein erfolgreiches Manöver erlaubt einem Wettbewerber, dem gegnerischen Drachen 1W6 Schadenspunkte zuzufügen. Wird ein Drachen auf 0 TP reduziert, ist er beschädigt[link7] oder wird die Führungsschnur zerschnitten, verliert sein Spieler die Kontrolle über ihn. Bei manchen Wettkämpfen werden Punkte verteilt, wenn man die gegnerische Führungsleine mit der Spitze seines Drachen berührt; der Sieger ist dann derjenige, welcher zuerst einen bestimmten Punktewert erreicht. Wer am Drachenkampf interessiert ist, kann Talente wie Waffenfokus[link8] und Waffenspezialisierung[link9] für den Schreckensdrachen wählen und diese Boni auf Kampfmanöver[link5] für Gegenstand zerschmettern[link6] anwenden, wenn sie Schreckensdrachen einsetzen.


Signaldrachenbausatz: Tengus besitzen zwar keine Flügel, haben lange über den Himmel und das Fliegen nachgedacht. Ihre Drachen bestehen aus Papier, welches an Bambusrahmen klebt und mit verschiedenen Farben und Bildern bemalt ist. Drachen steigen zu lassen ist bei ihnen nicht nur eine Freizeitbeschäftigung, sie verwenden auch Drachen mit verschiedenen Farben und Mustern, um Signale zu übermitteln. Hierzu haben sie eine ausgedehnte Reihe codierter Signale entwickelt, welche sie über große Entfernungen hinweg mit ihren Signaldrachen weitergeben. Ein Signaldrachenbausatz besteht aus sechs kleinen, farbigen Drachen, welche in unterschiedlichen Mustern zusammengehakt werden können, um umfangreiche Nachrichten zu übermitteln. Ferner gehören zur Ausrüstung eine Spule und 90 m Bindfaden. Das Senden und Verstehen einer Nachricht, die über einen Signaldrachen übermittelt wird, funktioniert wie bei der Fertigkeit Bluffen[link10] beschrieben. Allerdings müssen der Absender und jeder, der die Nachricht verstehen will, Tengu beherrschen.


Schwingenöl: Tengus vermischen besondere Salben, um ihre Federn vor den Elementen zu beschützen. Eine Phiole Schwingenöl verleiht einer gefiederten Kreatur einen Bonus von +1 auf alle Rettungswürfe gegen kaltes Wetter für 24 Stunden.


Talente der Tengus

Tengus haben Zugang zu den folgenden Talenten:

Aasfresser

Wie viele Müllsammler verträgst du Lebensmittel, die schwächere Kreaturen krank machen würden.


Voraussetzungen: Tengu.
Vorteil: Du erhältst einen Volksbonus von +2 auf Rettungswürfe[link11] gegen Krankheiten[link12] und eingenommene Gifte[link13] (aber nicht gegen andere Gifte[link13]). Du erhältst einen Bonus von +2 auf Fertigkeitswürfe[link14] für Überlebenskunst[link15], um für dich Nahrung zu finden (aber nur für dich selbst).


Blutschnabel

Dein Schnabelangriff ist blutig und gefährlich.


Voraussetzungen: GAB +5, Volksmerkmal Natürliche Waffe[link16], Tengu
Vorteil: Erhöhe den Schaden deines Schnabelangriffs auf 1W6. Wenn du mit deinem Schnabelangriff einen Kritischen Treffer bestätigst, verursachst du zusätzlich 1 Punkt Blutungsschaden[link17].
Speziell: Der Blutungseffekt dieses Talents ist kumulativ mit dem des Talents Kritischer Treffer (blutend)[link18] und ähnlicher Effekte und addiert +1 Punkt auf den Blutungsschaden[link17].


Langnasengestalt

Du kannst die Gestalt eines Menschen mit einer ungewöhnlich langen Nase annehmen.


Voraussetzungen: Charakterstufe 3, Tengu.
Vorteil: Einmal am Tag kann du die Gestalt eines Menschen[link19] annehmen, dessen Nase ebenso lange ist wie dein Schnabel. Diese zauberähnliche Fähigkeit[link20] funktioniert wie Gestalt verändern[link21] mit einer Zauberstufe[link22] in Höhe deiner Charakterstufe. In dieser Gestalt erhältst du die Fähigkeit Geruchssinn[link23] und einen Bonus von +2 auf deinen Stärkewert[link24]. Da deine lange Nase stark andeutet, dass du kein vollständiger Mensch[link19] bist, erhältst du nicht den bei Verwandlungseffekten üblichen Bonus auf Fertigkeitswürfe[link14] für Verkleiden[link25] (du kannst die Nase aber möglicherweise als Fluch oder Missbildung erklären oder unter einem Gegenstand wie z.B. der Maske eines Seuchenarztes verbergen).


Müllsammlerblick

Glitzernde Wertsachen ziehen von Natur aus deinen Blick an.


Voraussetzungen: Tengu.
Vorteil: Du erhältst einen Bonus von +2 auf Fertigkeitswürfe[link14] für Schätzen[link26]. Du kannst als Standard-Aktion[link27] den wertvollsten Gegenstand in einem Hort finden, wobei du einen zusätzlichen Bonus von +2 auf den Fertigkeitswurf[link14] für Schätzen[link26] erhältst. Sollte dir ferner ein Wurf für Schätzen[link26] um 5 oder mehr misslingen, behandelst du den Wurf, als wäre er dir um weniger als 5 misslungen.
Normal: Den wertvollsten Gegenstand in einem Schatzhort zu erkennen, erfordert 1 Volle Aktion[link28].


Tengu-Rabengestalt

Du kannst die Gestalt eine riesigen schwarzen Raben annehmen.


Voraussetzungen: Tenguschwingen[link29], Charakterstufe 7, Tengu.
Vorteil: Du kannst einmal am Tag die Gestalt eines großen schwarzen Vogels annehmen, welcher einem Raben ähnelt. Du erhältst eine Bewegungsrate[link30]: Fliegen[link31] 18 m (gut), einen Größenbonus von +4 auf deine Stärke[link24], einen Malus von -2 auf deine Geschicklichkeit[link32] und einen natürliche Rüstungsbonus von +4. Diese zauberähnliche Fähigkeit[link20] funktioniert ansonsten wie Bestiengestalt II[link33] mit einer Zauberstufe[link22] in Höhe deiner Charakterstufe.


Tenguschwingen

Du kann dir Flügel wachsen lassen, die es dir ermöglichen zu fliegen.


Voraussetzungen: Charakterstufe 5, Tengu.
Vorteil: Einmal am Tag kannst du dir ein Paar riesige schwarze Krähenf lügel wachsen lassen, welche dir eine Bewegungsrate: Fliegen[link31] (durchschnittlich) 9 m verleihen. Diese zauberähnliche Fähigkeit[link20] funktioniert ansonsten wie Bestiengestalt I[link33] mit einer Zauberstufe[link22] in Höhe deiner Charakterstufe, du erlangst aber keine sonstigen Vorteile dieses Zaubers.


Magische Gegenstände der Tengus

BESCHREIBUNG


Dieser Fächer besteht aus einem Dutzend kleiner Federn aus Kupfer, welche an einem ringförmigen Knochengriff befestigt sind. Einmal pro Tag kann der Träger ihn halten und ein Befehlswort aussprechen, um einem Dunkelheiteffekt entgegenzuwirken (als würde er Tageslicht[link35] einsetzen) oder um einem Lichteffekt entgegenzuwirken (als würde er Tiefe Dunkelheit[link36] einsetzen). Sollte er in einem Bereich überlappender Licht- und Dunkelheiteffekte eingesetzt werden, wirkt er zufällig gegen einen Effekt und lässt den anderen intakt.

schwarzer federfächer

BESCHREIBUNG


Dieser hochwertige Fächer besteht aus einem Dutzend schwarzer Federn, die in einem Metallgriff befestigt sind, welcher ein Wellensymbol trägt. Der Träger kann ihn 3 Mal am Tag einsetzen, um folgende Effekte in beliebiger Kombination zu erschaffen: Windgeflüster[link38], Windstoß[link39] oder Windwall[link40].

tengukrug

Aura Schwache Verwandlung[link41]; ZS 3

BESCHREIBUNG


Dieses Behältnis sieht wie ein Trinkkrug aus Steingut aus, welcher einen ½ l fasst. Er ist mit einer weißen Glasur überzogen und trägt mittig ein Band schwarzer Vögel. Der Krug ist mit einem Korken verschlossen, der an einer Hanfschnur befestigt ist. Jede Flüssigkeit, die in den Krug gefüllt wird, kann sicher getrunken werden, als wäre Nahrung und Wasser reinigen[link42] darauf gewirkt worden (der Krug wirkt nur auf Flüssigkeiten). Drei Mal am Tag kann der Träger den Krug anweisen, die Temperatur seines Inhalts zu verändern (das ganze Spektrum zwischen Eiskalt und Kochendheiß ist möglich). Einmal am Tag kann der Träger den Krug anweisen, hineingegossenes Wasser in Pflaumenschnaps, Sake oder Tee zu verwandeln. Ein Tengukrug fasst bis zu einem ½ l einer beliebigen Flüssigkeit.

zauberstatuette: schwarzer-jaderabe

Aura Durchschnittliche Beschwörung[link44] und Verwandlung[link41]; ZS 11
Ausrüstungsplatz : Keiner; Preis 9.100 GM; Gewicht 1 Pfd.


BESCHREIBUNG


Diese faustgroße Stück schwarzer Jade ist kunstvoll in Form eines Raben mit ausgestreckten Schwingen geschnitzt worden. Auf Befehl verwandelt sie sich in einen schwarzen Raben mit den Spielwerten eines Adlers oder einen riesigen schwarzen Raben mit den Spielwerten eines Riesenadlers. Beide Versionen besitzen das Bonustalent Verbessertes Entreißen[link45] EXP. Der Rabe versteht die Gemeinsprache, kann aber nicht sprechen. Er kann Fragen zu seinen Fähigkeiten und was er gesehen hat, beantworten, indem er einmal für „Ja“ krächzt und zwei Mal für „Nein“.
Der Rabe kann pro Woche nur für maximal 24 Stunden diese Gestalten annehmen. Die Wirkungsdauer muss nicht fortlaufend sein, wird aber in Einheiten zu jeweils 1 Stunde abgerechnet. Wenn der Rabe drei Mal die Gestalt des riesigen Raben angenommen hat, verliert die Zauberstatuette alle magischen Eigenschaften (bei der kleineren Version besteht diese Wahrscheinlichkeit nicht).

Du schützt einen Gegenstand in deinem Besitz gegen Diebstahl. Du erhältst einen Bonus von +10 auf Fertigkeitswürfe[link14] für Wahrnehmung[link48], um zu bemerken, falls jemand dir den Gegenstand fortnehmen will.


Legendärer Diebesschutz


Addiere deine Legendenstufe auf den Bonus auf Fertigkeitswürfe[link14] für Wahrnehmung[link48]. Addiere deine Legendenstufe auf deine KMV[link49] gegen Kampfmanöver[link5] für Entreißen[link50] und Entwaffnen[link51] gegen den Gegenstand.


Mit Vögeln sprechen

Du stößt eine Frage in Form eines tiefen Vogelrufes aus, der bis 1,5 km weit gehört werden kann. Du kannst die Antworten der Vögel in der Region auf die Frage verstehen. Im Laufe der nächsten 10 Minuten antworten die Vögel basierend auf ihrem Wissen, als hättest du die Frage mittels Mit Tieren sprechen[link53] gestellt. Du könntest auf diese Weise fragen, ob es Trinkwasser in der Nähe gibt, wo sich Raubtiere oder andere Kreaturen aufhalten, wie du zu einem bestimmten Platz kommst usw. Die örtlichen Vögel antworten so gut sie können.
Sollten sich keine Vögel in der Reichweite aufhalten, hat der Zauber keinen Effekt und erhältst du keine Antwort. Jede Kreatur, welche Mit Tieren sprechen[link53] oder eine ähnliche Fähigkeit einsetzt, kann deine als Vogelruf geäußerte Frage verstehen, dir aber möglicherweise nicht auf eine Weise antworten können, die du verstehst.


Winterfedern

Ziel: Berührte gefiederte Kreatur

Rettungswurf: Willen, keine Wirkung (harmlos); Zauberresistenz: Ja (harmlos)


Die Federn des Zieles werden dicker und plustern sich zum Schutz gegen die Kälte des Winters auf. Das Ziel erleidet keinen Schaden durch kalte Umgebung und kann problemlos bei Temperaturen bis -45°C existieren, ohne Zähigkeitswürfe[link11] ablegen zu müssen. Auch die Ausrüstung der Kreatur wird auf diese Weise geschützt. Der Zauber bietet keinen Schutz gegen Kälteschaden oder andere Umgebungsgefahren, die mit kaltem Wetter[link54] in Verbindung stehen wie z.B. auf Eis auszurutschen, Schneeblindheit usw.
Wenn du diesen Zauber wirkst, kannst du veranlassen, dass sich die Federn des Zieles für die Wirkungsdauer des Zaubers weiß verfärben. Dies verleiht dem Ziel einen Situationsbonus von +1 auf Fertigkeitswürfe[link14] für Heimlichkeit[link55], um sich in Eis und Schnee[link56] zu verstecken.
